Chapter 9: Bye bye world

Amelia's heart stopped beating and her legs became weak when she heard his voice. 'No, please let it be a hallucination,' she prayed.

She slowly turned around and there he was sitting on the bed like a king. His cold expression threatened to send her to the floor.

She wondered what power he possessed that made her feel intimidated than normal.

"S-sir," she called in a very low voice, one that a human wouldn't be able to hear.

"Arthur," Arthur corrected her. Too bad he was not a human and had impeccable hearing.

As much as he hated the woman who was in front of him, it wouldn't speak too good of his reputation if his mate addressed him by sir.

"Arthur," Amelia quickly corrected herself, not wanting to get him angry.

"Were you thinking of running away?" Arthur asked in a calm voice.

He watched as her whole body went stiff at her question and how her breath hitched in her throat.

That alone was an answer to his question. Great, he found another thing he disliked about her. She was like
