Nikki and I make our way back to my apartment, or should I say our apartment, because I do share it with her now. We had a blast the entire evening and I feel such relieve, I listened to Fayyim and Cloé's advice. They really know their shit, though it does help that Fayyim is an excellent spy and Cloé has a nick for finding out shit.
Though the thought that Nikki nearly left with another vampire the night I dragged her out of her comfortable life and into mine, it doesn't sit well with me, not well at all. The bloodthirsty beast inside me rushes its ferocity through me and I bite my cheek not to growl out in frustration.
