Mishka’s point of view

I let out a groan as I slowly open my eyes; the pain in my back is excruciating. The only relief that I have is knowing that Dimitri will stay away from me for the next couple of days.

As I think back to yesterday, I realise that the punishments are getting harder each time Dimitri pushes a little bit more until he almost loses control. I know that if I don't get away from this man, he will lose control completely until he goes too far.

Do I think he could break enough to take my life...Yes, absolutely, and It’s only a matter of time before that happens.
