Chapter 62

Laila’s point of view.

I wake up in the morning with Adam’s strong arms wrapped around me, and even though I never thought that I would feel this way again, it feels good…no, it feels really, really good. I turn around to look at him, trying not to wake him up as I quietly giggle, and he mumbles something in his sleep.

He's such a handsome man is, Adam Rocco. I smile as I study his face. He's certainly nothing at all like his brothers, he's kind and compassionate, and although he doesn't realise it, he also has a good heart. It is so sad that he's been brought into this life to feel so differently about himself, and it's sad that he compares himself to them…his brothers.

I saw the devastation written on his face when he told me about the girls being kept here.

I smile to myself as I run my finger along his strong jawline and stubble, and I giggle when he stirs. With one eye open, he looks at me as he mumbles.

“Mmmmm, good morning, beautiful
