Maddox’s point of view

After I've eaten my food, I head into the shower before getting changed into my safety KIT, as always, full kit with Kevlar vest, and I've got to admit its not something that I will ever complain about again, as Jake always says its best to be prepared for the unexpected.

Once I’m dressed, I make my way over to Peter’s room; he opens the door after the first knock; he smiles as he says,

“Are you ready for this? I laugh as I reply, “So fucking ready to finish this. You are wearing a kevlar, aren't you?”

He nods, “Yeah, I seem to be getting used to wearing these things just lately.”

I Laugh; I know what it's like working for Jake. “Are you ready to head down to the base?”

I ask, and he nods once more and replies, “Yes! Let’s do this.”
