73. Tragedy

Gio looked up to see the beautiful moon shining brightly for them. Beside him was Efrain, who had taken off his black hood, showing his disfigured face.

They were in the middle of the forest. New vampires they had turned before were put in the coffin. They were positioned in a circle. At the center was a flat stone, a place for Nevea.

Efrain laughed, knowing he would get what he wanted in a matter of hours. Years of waiting in agony would be worth it.

Efrain snapped his head to the back.

“Ah, Zach and our fairy are already here,” Efrain mumbled. Then inhaled and exhaled through his mouth before focusing on making an illusion for them. That should be enough to make Zach busy.

“What about Vlassta, Master?”

“Release our warrior.”

“Understood, Master.”

Nevea, Zach, and Vlassta moved inside the forest from different sides.

Zach walked at the front while extending his hand to Nevea so they would not separate. Silas was also with them. He trailed behind Nevea.
