Lexa's boiling emotions finally cooled down, and she relaxed.

Lexa widened her eyes, and her breath hitched. Without wasting any time, she jumped off to where Arnold was.

Getting there, Lexa was astonished to see how Arnold's skin had turned into something unspeakable, and there was no sign of breathing in him. This seemed alarming and Lexa's face fell. She didn't want to accept or think about that negative thought.
