Asher's craving

Lindsay POV.

The last thing I loved doing was making dinner. It always made me more tired than I was. But I couldn't tell Asher I was too tired to make dinner. Sometimes I felt the need to quit it all and just run away, but not without Shaun. I wanted a break from all this. My wife's duty and most especially my abusive husband's.

Someone entered the Kitchen and I didn't need to turn to know it was Asher. Since he didn't want to speak to me, I didn't see the need to keep trying. I thought he was going to do whatever he wanted to do and leave the kitchen the same way he came but he walked to where I chopped carrots instead.

I still didn't give him any attention. I wasn't in the mood to have a fight with him or anything.

“How was work?" he asked randomly and I was taken aback, but I didn't show it. Asher had never asked me about my work. He was only concerned about when I got back from work and the time too.

“Fine" I didn't look at him as I continued what I was doing.
