Lindsay's POV

Shaun laid beside me, deep in sleep while I stayed awake deep in my thoughts. He had assured me that Asher couldn't get to me in the house because of how secure the place was, but I still saw Asher as the psycho that he was. He might not be able to get to me today, but he would eventually. Even though it would take him years.

The scariest part was, a divorce wouldn't stop someone like Asher. Only death and he was more like a spirit_ hard to kill

Shaun tossed to the other side and I thought he was going to continue sleeping, but he raised his head and looked at me.

“You aren't sleeping?" He asked tiredly

“Can't sleep" I confessed and Shaun sighed as he sat up.

“I already told you Asher can't get to you"

“You don't know him. If he can't get me now, he would get me eventually. Now my daughter wants him. That means if he is able to get to her, he would take her and she would show no resistance" I almost cried at the thought of that.

“That's not going to happen" he assured me
