“Is there a problem Lindsay?" Asher called out from the other side of the table. Keeping my anger in check was much better if he didn't talk to me, but now he was speaking to me and I felt rage course through my veins. I felt like tossing the bowl of salad at his face, but I knew if I did that, he was going to beat the baby right out of my womb.

“I don't feel too good," I said with my head still bowed, I didn't want to see the fake concern in his eyes.

“Try and eat something, we have a big day today," he said and I swallowed hard. It was indeed the day I was leaving Los Angeles. The day I would leave Shaun for good. But was it for good? Will I see him again? All these questions went to and fro in my mind, but I didn't have am answer. Maybe fate then. Fate was the only thing that could bring Shaun and me together. Maybe when I finally succeed in killing Asher, I could go back to Shaun.
