Chp 1 Pt 2 The Perfect Life

“Rise and shine,” says my beta, Hunter, annoyingly loud.

“Why in the world did I make you my beta,” I groan.

“Because I am devilishly handsome and smart.”

“Right, how could I forget,” I reply sarcastically.

“Come on you have that meeting with the elders in half an hour.”

“Ugh, just cancel it. I already know what they’re going to say.”

“Well, you are now twenty and still have yet to secure a luna.”

“She is obviously not a part of our pack. I have met every female and not one of them is my mate.”

“Well maybe the goddess has turned her back on us because of what happened? No one has found a fated mate since elder sam.”

I glare at Hunter but I know he could also be right. My great grandfather committed the worse crime you could and no one in this pack has been able to find their fated mate since. The elders have been hounding me to take a chosen mate like everyone else, but I have had this feeling like I need to wait; like she is close by and I’ll meet her any day now.

“She is close Hunter, I can feel it and so can Apollo. I won’t give up finding her.”

Things would be so much easier if we could visit the wolf packs, but they are so terrified of us they refuse to even take my calls. I’ve heard all the rumors and they’re all ridiculous, but I don’t know how to get everyone to change their views on us.

“The elders will not be happy to hear this. You do realize if you turn twenty-one and still don’t have a luna they will strip you of your title and hand it off to your stupid cousin, Hank.”

Hank is not the brightest in the bunch but I know he would rely heavily on the elders to make decisions which is what they truly want. As much as I would hate to have to pick a chosen mate, I would never allow my pack to be led by that idiot.

“Don’t worry Hunter. I promise to choose a luna by then. I won’t let that happen.”

Hunter lets out a sigh of relief. Apollo is not happy with me, fully expecting me to wait for our fated, but I do worry that we don’t have a fated and we would be waiting eternity for a ghost. I begrudgingly get up and get dressed. Even if I was late the elders would wait all day for me to make an appearance. Once I get my luna I’ll be able to finally break the council’s power they have over the Alpha position. I’ll ensure they never have the power to remove an Alpha again just because they have yet to secure a luna by the time they turn twenty-one.

“Ah Alpha Gunner, we were afraid you wouldn’t make it,” says Elder Sam.

I actually like elder Sam, he isn’t like the rest of the group pushing me to choose a girl to be luna. Sam was one of the last Lycan’s to receive his fated mate and I know he wants that for me as well. I’ve seen their relationship and it’s beautiful and it’s something I desperately want.

“Good morning. I know why you all wanted to meet today and I can tell you not to worry. I will have chosen a luna by the time I turn twenty-one and you all will be the first to know when it happens. So this meeting is adjourned.”

“But Alpha….”

I glare at the elders and they bare their necks in submission. They really can’t do anything to me right now and they know it. I head to the kitchen to grab something to eat, glad to finally have that out of the way even if it lasted barely two minutes. I rummage through the fridge when suddenly two hands snake their way around my waste.

“Good morning Alpha,” says Sarah in that tone letting me know exactly what she wants.

Though I am waiting for my fated to name her luna, I haven’t exactly waited when it comes to sex. I am an Alpha and have needs. Sarah is hot, I’ll give her that, and if it came down to it I might even name her luna. She is good in bed and is always aiming to please.

“I heard you had a stressful meeting this morning. I’d like to make it better,” she whispers as I turn towards her and she begins kissing my abs down towards my waist. She slides down my shorts, freeing my already erect member from it’s cage. I don’t even get a word in as she fully takes me into her mouth, massaging me with that sweet tongue of hers. I let out a hiss as she takes my hips, wanting me to move. I grab a fist full of her hair and gladly fuck her mouth.

The base of my spine begins to tingle and she lets out a groan that causes me to unload right into her mouth. She doesn’t miss a beat as she swallows every last drop and licks her lips clean. I lift her up onto the counter and slip on a condom before thrusting right into her tight walls. I don’t have time to go slow so I thrust in and out of her as fast as possible and all you can hear is the smacking of skin against each other echo through the room and our moans.

Sarah cries out in pleasure as I feel her walls clamp down around me, making me growl as I again unload inside her. I am glad I keep condoms all around the house because she likes to sneak up on me in random areas looking for a good time and the last thing I need is to get her pregnant. Then I would have no choice but to make her my luna.

Once our bodies settle I toss the condom and throw my shorts back on. I grab an apple and head straight to my office to begin my day. The one good thing about Sarah is she doesn’t cling and knows how busy I am. She’ll probably come around again this afternoon for round two and I definitely won’t say no.
