Chapter 46

After knocking for a while with still no response, Archer gave up. Instead of staying at the door, he slipped out through the nearby window and left the villa.

He didn't go downstairs, because he wouldn't know how to explain to Marianne if she saw him. He couldn't very well say that his wife locked him out. After all, he still had his pride.

Inside the room, Juliette furrowed her brows when everything went quiet. She opened the door, only to find no sign of Archer.

A flicker of annoyance crossed her face.

She wasn't thrilled with what he pulled tonight, mainly because it was too bold.

If he could mess with Eugene today, who knew what he would do tomorrow? If he ended up crossing someone truly dangerous, she didn't have time to clean up his mess.

She had just meant to give him a light warning. But instead, the guy disappeared without a word.

After leaving the villa, Archer found a quiet corner of a nearby park. He sat cross-legged and began cultivating.
