Sunday. It was a day that I was supposed to be able to sleep in a little. My intentions were to do just that after I gave Jo a kiss goodbye and told her to be safe and have fun. OK, so I may have also told her I had something else she could ride, but she just rolled her eyes as she left. It was worth a shot, right?

It didn't take long for me to fall back asleep after she left, only to be woken back up by a burning pain in my chest.

"Jo ....." Denny growled as I jumped out of bed and started running down the hall to the stairs.

"WAKE UP! Something's wrong with Rhi and Jo!" Seth's booming voice echoed in my head, followed by the sound of Jay and Damian's bedroom doors being flung open.

I had never been so consumed with worry and fear before in my entire life. As I raced down the stairs, damn near tripping over my own feet, I saw that the front door was open and a large burning glow could be seen from the front yard. What in the actual ....

Rieka It can't be ..... I looked over to see Timophy leaning against a tree with a smug look on his face. He didn't look dead, just .... cold. His brown hair was now slicked back, and his brown eyes were so dark that they were almost back. How is this possible .... "Yeah, I know what you're thinking. 'But I killed him!'" He mimicked me in a whiny tone, waving his hands in the air in a sarcastically fake, panicked motion. I couldn't help but scoff as I rolled my eyes. He might be undead, but he is still ridiculously ignorant. "Look at you! So much attitude! And this new Teen Wolf look you have going on? NOT attractive," Timpohy chuckled as he took a step over to the charred black mark on the ground where Laura's body had been. "Such a shame, she had potential." He then raised his head as he quietly looked back at me. Amar's hackles stood on edge as he arched his back, making his already large wolf body appear even bigger. He lowered his head as he pinned his ear back, curli

Rieka I let go of my shotgun as the oddly familiar pungent smell became stronger ... along with the sound of Laura's giggles. "Sulfur," Lupa whispered.Sulfur? What does that mean? "Who is Laura?" Jo asked with a confused tone as our eyes searched the woods for the person responsible for the laughter. Laura finally made herself visible as she slowly walked out of the woods from our right. She somehow looked even worse than she did the other day. Her skin was now clammy, and her hair tangled and matted. "Oh, sweet innocent Rhiannon here didn't tell you what she did to me?" The animals became more uneasy with every step that Laura took towards us. Amar showed his teeth as he curled his lips, a threatening growl telling Laura to stay away. Dub stomped his front hooves aggressively as he blew air out of his nose. Even Tonka was fidgeting in place, knowing that something was wrong. "Rhi, that's not Laura anymore," Lupa cautioned. But, if she wasn't Laura, who, or what, was she

Rieka "Hey, Rhi ....." Seth's voice whispered my name sweetly from next to me as he gently rubbed my shoulder. I wrinkled my nose as I rolled away from him, making sure not to kick Amar, who was lying at my feet. I really didn't want to wake up this early today. "Do you want me to tell Jo that there's been a change of plans?" Seth asked as he rubbed my back, clearly wanting me to stay in bed. Yesterday, on our way back from Gram's, we discussed bringing the horses over. Seth said that he could borrow a trailer from one of the farmers, but it wasn't large enough for all of the horses in one trip. Since I hadn't yet made up my mind if I was going to stay or not, I said that I would ride Dub over while I ponied Tonka. I thought it would be great alone time for me to figure things out, but once Jo found out what I was going to do, she begged to ride Tonka over. I rolled over to talk to Seth, not realizing how close he was to me and ended up lying against his chest. Not botherin

Rieka We all quietly sat at the dining room table, staring at Izzy and Damian while we ate our lunch as their fresh mating marks stuck out like sore thumbs. "And here I thought that getting horses was crazy, " Blue said as he took a swig of his beer. "I can't believe that you've been living here almost your entire life, and we never knew that you were part vampire and ..... goudadonta?" Jo asked, creating a chain reaction of Blue snorting and Roxie elbowing him to shut him up. "Gonakadet," Izzy said, correcting Jo. I raised my hand in the air and pointed at myself, "In all fairness ..... werewolf." I then pointed at Izzy, "Impundulu." Lastly, I pointed at Mia, "Probably an Impundulu." Jo smiled and nodded her head once. "Point taken. So, what IS a gonakadet, anyway?" "Well," Izzy started, "they look kind of like a wolf-whale hybrid. Imagine a pointy snout, clawed fore-flippers, and shaggy hair on its neck. They're also called sea-wolves. It's really fitting. They're on

Isabella "A Gonakadet?! You're part water fairy?! And you NEVER once thought to mention it?! You want me to trust you? You want to work on rebuilding us? But you don't even have the fucking decency to tell me the truth?!" I yelled my questions as I made sure to keep my chest covered. Hypocritical as my lower half was very visible, but I didn't give a damn. I wanted my heart covered. My emotions were swirling around inside of me like a tornado, but I tried to keep them in check the best I could. Now was not the time to turn into a bird. "Bella, I seriously don't know what you're talking about right now, " Damian whispered as he took a step towards me, looking at me like I was bat shit crazy. I immediately took a step back. "Are you seriously going to pretend that you don't know what you are? I never thought that you were a liar, D. But I know what I fucking saw. I just don't understand why you never told me. Why would you lie about being afraid of water? Why ....." "Will you s

Damian The only thing that was going through my mind was how much I had missed Bella and how badly I wanted her. I felt like such a moron for having ghosted her the way that I did. But that's exactly what I was. A young, dumb moron who freaked out because I fell in love and worried about what would happen if I stayed with her and found my fated. And all of those Omegas that I screwed around with? They were nothing more but a distraction from Izzy. If only I knew then what I know now. But, that's life. It's messy. It hurts. And mistakes are made for you to learn from. I hadn't even realized that I was treading water when Bella evanesced away from me, leaving me with a hard-on that ached for her So many thoughts were driving through my head, but none of them had anything to do with my wolf. That is, not until his voice interrupted my thoughts. "Bro, I'm sorry," Ace said in a weird tone that didn't make much sense. Sorry? What was he sorry for? My arms and legs stopped

Izzy After breakfast, Damian and I left the packhouse to go on a walk as the others went to the stables to start cleaning it up. I know that everyone assumed I'd be staying, but I just didn't know if I was ready for that. I still needed time. "Have you seen that dog since he was let out this morning?" Damian asked quietly as we walked towards the woods. I shook my head. "No. It's kind of hard to call around to find his owners when he's not here. Maybe he ran back home or something?" Damian playfully grabbed my hand, spinning me around to face him with an obviously fake cared expression on his face. "What if he's a secret spy?!" I raised an eyebrow as I bit my bottom lip to try to contain my smile ..... and my sarcasm ..... but it wasn't working. "Don't worry, D, I'm pretty sure everyone already knows what a slut you've been ....." I immediately started laughing as I watched Damian's face fall, letting him know that I was playfully busting his balls. "Low blow, Bella!" D

Rieka The smell of coffee woke me from my deep slumber. As I stretched and opened my eyes, I immediately noticed that I was alone in Seth's king-sized bed. As soon as I sat up, I saw that there was a single cup of coffee with a small handwritten note leaning up against the cup so that I could easily read it. 'I didn't want to wake you. We're in the kitchen cooking breakfast. Seth.' I reached over and picked up the cup of coffee, smiling when I realized that not only was it still hot, but also because Seth remembered that I preferred my coffee black. I sipped the nectar of the Gods as Lupa groaned in my mind while she woke up. And to think I was enjoying having my own thoughts to myself .... Lupa scoffed with annoyance. "Sucks to be you. How about breakfast?" I stayed in bed as I finished my cup of coffee. I honestly didn't want to get out of bed .... out of Seth's bed. It was the most relaxing night's sleep that I had ever had, and it wasn't just because of the mattress.
