I glared angrily at Emma after Emily left the dining room.
“I know you are insensitive and immature. But saying that to a woman who is scared of losing her children, just because of your insecurity was the height of it.” I said coldly and she looked over at me.“Did you see the way she talked to me? She just insulted the fact that I don't have kids of my own. Did you notice that?” She askedI rolled my eyes. “Did you listen to yourself? You called her an attention seeker for being worried about her missing children. You don’t know what it's like to have a missing child or missing sibling, so stop being insensitive and avoid getting into unnecessary arguments with Emily, for pete’s sake.” I said and started to walk out of the dining table.“Are you supporting her right now? I have heard stories of her from the mouths of your friends, your family. But I never knew you both had been intimate. And out of the blue, she shows up after five years, asking for help to find her kids. Kids that you fathered! How is that supposed to make me feel?!” She yelled, causing me to pause in my strides to look at her.“Can you shut the hell up, really? You seem to forget that I did not wish to marry you. It was your father and my father who forced me to abandon my mate and marry you, all because of some greedy alliance. Emily was my mate, and she will always be my mate. Be satisfied that you are currently the pack’s Luna, and stop wanting more.”I turned to leave again when her voice stopped me.“In the entire five years of our marriage, you have never spoken to me the way you just did. I always knew that I had no place in your heart, but you never reminded me about the mate bond or our arranged marriage. You always treated me with the leanest amount of respect. And all that has changed just because that bitch and her brats showed up.” She scoffed, her voice getting teary but I could care less.“While she remains in this pack house, you will respect Emily and my children, Emma. Do you get that? She is the mother of my children. My future heirs. You haven't given me an heir yet, despite how many times you urged me to try, so don't even think about your frustration on the mother of my children and my children. Do you understand me?” I asked angrily and she scowled.“Do you understand me, Emma?!” I growled loudly, making her flinch. She had never seen me react that way before, and of course, I was going to react that way to anybody who dared to talk down on my kids. She gave a small nod and I walked away.I entered into my study, trying to think of the possible fastest way to help Emily. Her kids were not just her kids, they were mine too. I sighed and threw my head back on the chair. She looked really hurt when Emma said that she was an attention seeker.Should I apologize to her on Emma’s behalf? Of course not. That wouldn’t make her feel any better. The only thing she wanted right now was to find the children. My head perked up with a sudden memory. My twin brother, Dylan.I had a twin brother who looked just like me. He left home after our mom died and he constantly blames Dad for her death. He hated the fact that Dad was greedy, and while I admired his brave move, I just couldn’t leave dad alone.Immediately, I called my Beta. “Come to the Pack house. We have a few things to discuss.” I said over the phone.I had Jamie constantly watch Dylan over the years since he left home, and at the last check, he had moved to Michigan. He worked as a private investigator and had his own investigation company. He had become a big shot in the Force, so I decided that Dylan would be the one to assist me with finding my kids.“You sent for me, my lord.” I heard Jamie say as he entered my study.“Yes. I need to go see Dylan.”His gasp of surprise made me look up at him.“Prince Dylan? Out of the blue? Do you think he will want to see you?” Jamie askedI shrugged, knowing he was right. We had a fallout years ago and Dylan hated me ever since.“I know he wouldn’t want to see me. But I need his help in finding my children. He is the best private investigator in the whole of North America.” I answered with a sigh.Jamie's confused face almost made me laugh out loud but I maintained my composure, “I’m sorry, Alpha. But we both know you do not have kids. I’m clearly confused.” He wasn’t aware that Emily had returned.“Emily has returned. With my kids.” I said and his eyes widened. “That’s not what matters. What matters is we need to go visit Dylan, because the kids have been taken by the goddess knows who. And Emily is so restless.”“I will prepare the cars.” He said and walked out. This was the reason why I liked Jamie. He always knew what to do in every situation. After a brief moment of silence, I walked to Emily’s room.“I know who is best at helping us find the children, Emily.” I announced as soon as I entered and she looked at me with raised brows.“My brother will. My twin brother” I finished, catching the look of surprise on Emily's face.“What do you mean your twin brother?” She asked suspiciously, her eyes squinted and her right brow raused.“It's a long story. I will explain later. Right now, we need to leave for Michigan. As quickly as possible.” I responded.“I believe whatever this is, it's because you know best.” She said and looked at her two friends. “Aren't you two coming?” She asked and they nodded. We got into the cars and many hours later, we were in front of the house Dylan was reported to be living in. I sighed, growing antsy and agitated. This was the moment of truth. My brother hates me and I wondered how it would be for him, seeing me again after 7 years. I pressed the doorbell and heard his voice.“Coming!” He mumbled before opening the door.Immediately we locked eyes, his face contorted into a frown and he growled. “What are you doing here?”The pack had gathered in a circle, with excitement buzzing in the air.The time had finally come, the ceremony was about to begin. I slowly walked down the aisle, my eyes focused on the two magnificent men who awaited my arrival. My heart was racing with joy as everything I have always wanted was finally falling into place. Daniel and Dylan gently took my hand and led me down the remaining step of the aisle. They both stood by my side, representing both my heart and my pillar.Daniel stood to my right, his eyes gentle yet fierce with the love he had for me. His dark hair was neatly styled, but there was a ruggedness to him that only added to his charm.Dylan stood to my left, he had his hair similarly styled like Daniel and their similarities were very striking. The three of us had formed a bond stronger than anyone could have imagined.Kira and Keith, stood just behind us, their small faces filled with joy, their eyes sparkling. The idea of having not just one, but two fathers made
It's been weeks since Victor was exiled from the pack. I felt free and relieved. For a very long time I have let the actions of others determine my happiness but Victor's betrayal made me see things in a totally different light.I was free. Free to be myself and not live behind the shadows anymore.Ever since the night Dylan and Daniel had rescued me, I noticed tension between them. They seemed to be avoiding each other. I could tell that they wanted to talk to me about something but then they decided not to say anything about it, probably thinking I was too fragile to handle whatever they were dealing with. “Daniel, Dylan” I called, as both men stood in front of me refusing to look at one another. “What is going on? Did you guys have a fight?” I asked, confused about their sudden change in attitude. I thought they were getting along so well, the change felt like a whiplash, it was just too sudden. “Emily, this can’t go on forever. You have to make a choice.” Daniel started, break
I was happy to finally be back home, the kids missed me so much as they hugged me tightly. It seems like Daniel did not tell them about my abduction, which was nice as I know this would have worried them significantly.“Mummy, we missed you so much,” Kira cried in my arms.“We waited all day for you, where do you go?” Keith asked with a serious expression on his face.He also looked a little bit angry which made me chuckle. “I went to see a friend, it got a little bit late so I stayed there” I lied.He stared at me, clearly not buying my lies, Keith was slowly resembling his father.“Come on Kira, let's give mommy some space to rest,” Keith huffed, dragging his sister who was reluctant to leave. But I could not rest, Victor's words were still tormenting me, I could not help replaying what he said to me over and over again.“Does he mean that my blood was the secret to his cure? What was his sickness?” I kept murmuring to myself, biting my nails nervously.I felt numb. Everything was
“Where is she? How did you find her?” I asked. "We questioned the man we captured, he told us where she was being held,” James answered. “Where?" Dylan asked, his voice steady, but I could see how much he wanted to hear the answer to that question.“An abandoned warehouse in the woods, about thirty minutes from here. I have sent some scouts to go and look around the area.” James replied.“Call them back, I don't want to alert the enemies” Dylan commanded. “Okay sir” James immediately grabbed his phone and called the team to back down.“What next, Sir?”"Get the men. We leave now." I ordered grabbing my jacket and marching towards the door.James nodded his head in approval before turning on his heels to gather the men. It was time to finally bring Emily back home. “I am coming with you,” Dylan insisted, quickly putting on his jacket and getting armed as well. The thought of Emily being tortured by that man made my skin crawl with fury.“Let's go get our girl” The team quickly ass
It was past midnight, the clock on the wall ticked steadily but still Emily had not returned from her outing with Victor. This was so unlike her, she had not also responded to my text messages and her line was out of service, both hers and Victor’s.My phone remained silent, no text or call from her, I was feeling uneasy about the whole situation. This was so unlike Emily. She always informed me of her movements, or at least she would tell Dylan.“Dad, where is Mom?” Keith asked, clutching his teddy bear.He has refused to sleep as he kept demanding for his mom, wanting to show her the stuff we got from the farmers market.“She will be back soon, come on, it is time to go to bed” I urged him, lifting him up and taking him back to his bedroom where his sister was already fast asleep.“But I want to show her what I got,” He insisted.“How about tomorrow, as early as possible you wake her up and show it to her” I convinced, pinching his chubby cute cheeks.“Okay, good night daddy,” he si
I sat bound in a dimly lit room, my mind racing in circles as I tried to make sense of the situation. “Why are you doing this?” I asked, my voice cracking from too much emotion as my lips trembled from the gnawing sense of betrayal that coursed through my veins. I have known Victor for years, and I could tell this was not him. Something was wrong, something had to be wrong. “Did someone approach you to do this? Were you threatened? You can tell me” I said, trying to grasp onto any form of hope that Victor would not willingly do this to me. “No, I did this for my own personal gain. You are of use to me, Emily” He answered. “What do you want, Victor?” I demanded, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and confusion as it finally dawned on me that Victor had indeed betrayed me. “Why are you doing this? I deserve an explanation.” Victor stood across the room, his face which had always seemed so composed, so kind, now felt cold. His whole demeanor was chilling. “You are right, you
