1.95 CAROLINE

I watch as both men freeze, as though every single bone in their bodies locked up. Jaws clenched, eyes wide. Unbelieving.

"Well, aren't you going to at least say hello?" Sara crosses her arms, an eyebrow raised above her bright blue eyes.

They still remain silent, but I notice their breathing get heavier.

"Why don't we go inside and you can talk?" I offer up. This seems to draw their attention back.

They nod. I walk around them, and notice their hands reach out to me slightly. Needing some kind of contact with me.

I keep walking, unlocking the front door and heading straight to the living room. Sitting down on the armchair, I hear the door shut. I keep my head down as the three of them enter. The twins take in the empty space on the couch, before choosing to stand next to my armchair. Sara looks at the three of us before she sits down on the couch in front of us, the coffee table being the only thing that is separating us.

"How are you alive?" Antonio breaks the tense silence.
