CHAPTER 43

I was not expecting to see Ivan at this event, he looked so pale. I noticed he kept looking at me all through the event. And I tried my best to avoid his gaze.

Even though there were lots of people in this space, I could still feel his presence and so I went out, to get fresh air. And I hoped he would not come after me.

Rio overreacted by hitting Ivan, but I could have still defended him but no, I foolishly followed Rio and left him on the floor. Ivan would hate me even more.

"Why did you do that??"

"I was only saving you from that pervert. And you should be grateful"

"Grateful for what exactly?"

"From saving you from the hands of a rapist"

I pulled out of his grip.

"That was no rapist. He was not trying to rape me"

"Didn't look like that to me"

"Just let me be Rio"

I walked away from him and went to get my stuff. I took an excuse from our boss and left for my house. I took a taxi and went home. When I got home, I lay in my bed and I could not stop thinking of Ivan.
