CELESTIA’S POV

Thirteen years ago

“Arghhhhh!!!” I screamed for help as my leg missed its footing and the branch beneath my other foot gave away just as I was about plucking an apple.

My eyes went shut, as I expected to hand on the ground with a loud hit with a cracked and maybe a broken back or leg— but it never came.

“Am I still falling?” I thought, opening my eyes gently to see a boy about three years older than me staring down at me. His face was quite close.

That was when I realized he had caught me from falling.

“Aren't you going to get down?” he asked gently, though his voice sounded like he was in a hurry.

“Oh right. I'm sorry.” I apologized as I got down from his hands.

“Thank you very much for saving me, I thought I would die.” I smiled.

He simply rolled his eyes, “Why were you up there by the way?”

I pouted, glancing at the apple tree. “I only wanted some apples.”

“Ohhh.” he simply said.

I turned to him again and that was when I noticed the cloth he was wearing— expensive, neatly ironed cloth, the golden Crest of the pack was attached to his clothes.

I gasped, my hands covering my mouth. He was someone of high status and not just any status, he was the heir and Prince to the pack.

Before I could say a word, we heard voices.

“My prince!!”

“Prince Eryx, where are you?”

“Oh shit, they are about to find me.” he bite his lips, then ran pulling me along with me.

Our first crazy encounter.

Weeks later, Eryx would sneak out from time to time, to come hang out with me at our favourite spot at a stream that people rarely came by. We were so close, that I thought it would be like that forever.

Until one day, he came looking dejected.

“What's wrong?” I asked him.

“I'm leaving.” he muttered.

“What?” I blinked, wondering if I heard him correctly.

“I'm going abroad, father said it was best for me to continue my education abroad, so I have to go.”

“You are leaving me?” my voice sounded broken, like I would tear up any moment.

He closed the distance between us, then held and rubbed my hand gently like some that needed to be treated with care before placing a crystal pendant in it.

“I will never forget you Celestia.” eleven year old Eryx promised, then pressed his lips on mine for ten seconds and after, he walked away not looking back once.

—

Present day.

“You forgot about me.” I breathed, resting my head on the window frame, staring at the moon which hung on the dark starry night sky, shining brightly over the land of silver fangs packs.

Guards patrolled around the whole building, every corner of the whole pack. Some maids were still awake carrying out errands especially those that were assigned to those in the higher ups. They only go to sleep when their master is asleep.

A sigh escaped my lips as waves of pity flooded me. Being an omega was not exactly a thing of joy to us— we were always overlooked, underestimated, taught to keep my head low and my voice softer than the wind. We had never allowed ourselves to hope.

Why? Because that thing called hope was dangerous to us omegas. It creeps in quietly and blooms in places it shouldn't.

And when it dies… it takes everything with it.

Instead of hope, I replaced it with love.

Call me stupid... I definitely deserve it because I was in love with someone I could never have. I was in love with my childhood friend who left after a few weeks of becoming friends.

I have been in love with him since the day he pulled my hand and ran, he had smiled warmly at me— but I never dared dream of being with him since he was far beyond my reach, still I allowed myself to be drowned in my love for him.

I was glad I could love him even if it was from afar even though he had totally forgotten I existed.

“Eryx.” I whispered his name below my breath, afraid that someone would hear someone unworthy like me call the Alpha by his name.

I stared at the crystal bead in my hands, I had kept it all these years, because it seemed like it was the only thing that reminded me that our friendship was real and what I felt for him since the very beginning was also real.

A chilly breeze blew past me and I shooked.

“So cold.” I said rubbing my palms together, though strangely enough I loved as the cold breeze made goosebumps appear on my skin.

I heard footsteps behind me and I turned back to see Elowen hurriedly rushing to the toilet.

“Silly girl.” I chuckled.

Moments after she came out, breathing in relief like she had successfully fought a war.

“Celestia?” she called unsure if I was the one sitting by the window when everyone was fast asleep. “Why are you still awake?”

“Couldn't sleep.” I answered.

“Oh, come here you.” She pulled me up, “Let me pet you to sleep.”

We both cuddled together on our shared bed, pulling a blanket over us.

“Sleep my little baby… close your eyes and get some rest.” Elowen whispered and like a spell I did.

In three days, the little boy I had secretly harbored feelings for will belong to someone else. Maybe it was for the best, maybe it was finally time to let go of everything that ever happened between us. It was now time to let everything go.

  • The Uncrowned Luna He was Forced to Keep    Chapter 5- Forever Bonded

ERYX'S POV I made my way to the pack hospital, heading straight for the room where my so-called mate was being treated and kept under observation. The guards stationed at the door greeted me, but I didn't bother to acknowledge them. It's been two days since the mating ceremony, two days since the rejection and two f**king days since the bond has kept screaming at me that it was alive and doing well. I scoffed inwardly, my expression cold as I watched her lie on the bed. The steady beeping of the heart monitor filled the room with an IV line running from the back of her hand to a fluid bag hanging beside her bed. “Pathetic.” I mumbled. “She couldn't endure the pain of a rejection bond and the moon goddess dared to bond her to me.” “You just have to wake up and let get it over with.” The door to the room slid open, which made me turn back to see who had the audacity to enter while I was here. The girl gasped and immediately dropped to her knees as soon as our eyes met. “Greeti

ERYX POV“We are gathered before you oh moon goddess, to reveal to us, our new Luna who will stand worthy beside Alpha Eryx.” the pack seer began. “Reveal her to us, our great goddess.”Immediately, the seer muttered those words, I began to feel the pull from within. It was strong and filled me with different, unfamiliar sensation.. My wolf stirred within me. I needed no soothsayer to tell me what was happening— it was the mate bond forming between us.I had felt it and it was just a matter of fact before my mate did also.As if hearing my thoughts, a loud cry into the cold starry sky, was heard from among the pack. There it was— my mate.I turned towards the direction the sound came from and immediately my eyes locked with the one who was meant to be my mate, my gaze stiffened when our gaze met.“Mine.” my wolf growled, wanting to break out, but I had to keep it under control, using my will and strength.I moved across the crowd, heading towards her with slow strides.Immediately I

CELESTIA’S POV The moon hung on the dark starry night sky, full and shining brightly over the land of silver fangs pack, casting long shadows of the surrounding trees. The whole pack was assembled outside for the Luna Ceremony which was done on the night of the full moon after a new Alpha has been crowned. Now that Eryx was crowned months ago and the moon is bright and full, the ceremony has to be held. It was a tradition, past down for years so that the moon goddess will reveal the mate of the New Alpha. Everyone stood according to their ranks, Elders, Betas, Warriors, Gammas and omegas like me— where casted at the far end of the open field. I pressed my palm against my chest, trying to calm the frantic beat of my heart. “Why did you look so nervous?” Elowen whispered beside me. I turned to look at her. “Me? Nervous? Do I look nervous?” I asked, rubbing my neck with my cold, sweaty palm. “Of course girl. You don't have to be nervous— you have no reason to. The future

  • The Uncrowned Luna He was Forced to Keep    Chapter 1- In Three Days

Celestia's POV At exactly five in the morning, the speakers connected to the maids' quarters crackled to life, and the voice of our head maid immediately filled the entire room. “Arise and shine, everyone! It's time to get to WORK!!” she screamed into the microphone. Thankfully, I had blocked my ears just in time. That was how she was every morning, especially when she didn't want to come down to the quarters herself because she knew some of us would simply go back to sleep the moment she left. It was no longer anything new to me or anyone else. Those who were still sleeping groaned as they reluctantly pulled themselves out of bed, while a few others buried their faces beneath their pillows, probably hoping the head maid would somehow decide to spare them today. Which of course would never happen. “Does she really have to do that every morning?” someone muttered from the other side of the room. “I'm afraid my eardrums are going to burst if she continues,” another complained. “
