LOGINFelix didn’t even seem to struggle at all as he held Fizwell’s hand mid-motion. This left Fizwell stunned at Felix’s strength. However, Felix wasn’t about to let the fight pass easily. Darren had mentioned that to win, he’d have to beat Fizwell until he was unable to move. Fizwell pulled his fist back, and Felix let go of his grasp. Immediately, Felix sent a straight punch toward Fizwell’s stomach. It looked like an ordinary attack, yet in the next moment, everyone saw Fizwell stumble backward as he held his stomach with one hand. What the hell was that? Fizwell thought. He couldn’t believe it. From such a light punch—he could tell Felix didn’t put much power into it—yet he still felt it deeply. “Hmm, looks like I’ve underestimated you. I’m kind of happy you’re stronger than you look. At least you’ll be able to take a few beatings before I let you win.” Fizwell said with a delighted smile. “Tch, quit talking and let’s end this quickly… so I can have a nice time with your wife…
The tension in the hall was piling up as the faction members realized why they were gathered here. It was already evening, and they were supposed to relax and wait for the next day. However, after learning what had happened, Felix had caught their attention. Of course, this rumor quickly spread, as the rest who were on the team with them passed the news around. Normally, it would be until the next morning before they updated the records and gave each member their points. If that had been the case, the officials wouldn’t have noticed anything at all even if they checked the data. The reason was because they would’ve shared the points equally among the members as a group mission. However, the officials suddenly appeared out of nowhere—it’s not like they had any specific time to visit anyway. And that was when his eyes caught the report on the table. As he read through it, he immediately started questioning Linda, which led to inviting all the people involved in the mission to conf
“I promise that I am telling the truth. He’s not like this at all. I’ve been his friend for a long time now, and he’s never acted this way.” Evan said as he looked around constantly, hoping that he wouldn’t be beaten to a stupor here.He himself couldn’t explain what was going on with Felix, but right now, the person in front of him didn’t seem to be buying his explanation.Linda, Fay, and Amy stood in front of him as if he were in an interrogation session.“And… about the way he’s acting… like flirting with us… has he done that before?” Linda managed to say the words, her voice trailing off at the end of her sentence, her face tinged with embarrassment; it would’ve been worse if Felix himself were here.“That’s exactly what you’ve asked me countless times in different ways. Look, I know he’s strong, and I believe he can beat your… Fizwell, so you don’t have to worry about losing your faction, okay?” Evan said, trying to ease the intense stare he was getting from Linda with his words.
Fizwell was a man who stood unusually tall amongst others in the room. His large frame fit his name, as he himself looked like a giant rock with firm, muscular arms and wild energy. Not knowing who was in the office at the moment, he ignored everyone else until his eyes landed on the person he was looking for.Felix made a shocked expression as if he was scared and slowly backed off toward Fay’s side.“What are you doing?” Fay muttered as soon as he got close to her.“Please save me,” he said, then turned back and winked at her.“Excuse me?” Darren spoke as he noticed the tension in the man’s face.It was then that he even realized an official was in the room.Their signature was impossible to miss, as they often wore robes that could be of different colors, but it was what they mostly put on that made them stand out among the others.“What’s your name, and what do you want with the man?” Darren asked.“My name is Fizwell, sir. And I am Linda’s husband,” the huge man said.Linda scoff
The embarrassment that Linda had just been through was enough to make her blood boil, and that was exactly what was happening right now.She was still upset about Felix’s earlier actions, so she chose to avoid saying anything until they arrived at her office, where the visiting official was waiting. All her anger lasted—until a gentle voice broke through it.“So, Linda, who’s this official you were talking about?” Felix asked.“Huh?”Linda let out the sound before realizing she had spoken. Why did his tone suddenly change just now? One second he’s flirting with me like a crazy person, and suddenly he’s back to his serious, gentle self again. She thought, finding it quite strange.Or did he do that just to make me feel comfortable enough to answer his questions?Linda couldn’t help but try to figure out his earlier behavior.“Are the others still in the room with the official?” he asked again. It was then that Linda snapped out of her thoughts.“Oh, yes. Your other teammates are there.
Felix had just settled into his room after successfully completing the mission his team went on. Just when he thought he could finally relax, a knock was heard on the door.“I was just about to relax… who could it be now?” Felix mumbled before going to check the door.“Hey, uhm, I heard a lot about you from the mission you guys went on, and I must say I was surprised by the feat you pulled off out there,” Linda said with a satisfied smile on her face.“I need you to come with me. It seems you’re lucky today because one of our officials happened to be around when I got the report of your guys’ mission, and he wishes to meet you.”Deep down, Linda could only hope that what happened wasn’t true at all. Or at least not everything was true. After a mission, everyone was required to go and make a report, but at the time Felix was rather uninterested in waiting behind, since one person was enough to do the report and no casualties had happened that were serious enough for all of them to repo
“Oh, this is my friend Sam. Do you know him?” Alex asked.Alex was also quite a man who was good at reading people—enough to notice Adrian’s gaze was constantly shifting toward Sam.“No—not at all.”With a soft nod, Adrian replied.“Vivienne, please hurry and b
Adrian walked out casually from Antony’s house like nothing had happened. His steps clicked against the marble floor like the whisper of a passing wind. The sound faded inside the room, yet in Vivienne’s head, it rang like a morning alarm. It felt as though she were caug
“Thyssalin—pronounced THISS-uh-lin,” Adrian said, his words deliberate and slow, each syllable pressing into the air like a burning sun. The final sound lingered, stretching into the passive silence around them.Once again, Adrian’s eyes caught the man’s nervousness unraveling. He c
Adrian’s dark, deep gaze fixed on Sam’s face, and it felt as though Sam’s skin was burning under its reflection. His whole countenance shifted, his hands suddenly fragile as they moved toward his ear.“Um… excuse me, I need to use the toilet,” Sam muttered. With that, he headed toward the bathroom.
