Peter was absolutely terrified right now as he kept hearing the sounds of engines roaring in the air.

He couldn’t stop his heart that was beating as if it’d jump out of his chest. Even though Adrian was strong, could he even stand a chance to face off with this many people? He thought.

Even the women behind him weren’t looking as worried as he was right now. He was just the type of person to always think of possible outcomes, and all he could think of from thousands of possibilities—he wasn’t sure how long they’d survive here.

“Do you’ve a plan?” He suddenly seemed to freeze as he just noticed Adrian.

He had a calm, unreadable expression on his face, and Peter couldn’t tell what that meant. At first it felt like Adrian was as terrified as him, but his calm suggested otherwise, and he knew that this person wasn’t someone as weak as him—anyways, he’d gladly admit that.

They’d all made a plan finally, and Adrian had agreed to not intervene in the situation and leave it to Steve to sort. He was the number one target they wanted, and Steve should be able to deal with them. Adrian didn’t have a problem with Steve doing it, except he just didn’t like that he’d have to sit back in a corner and not fight the people who brought war to them. This way, it’d still convince Mr. Tyson that Adrian still didn’t have his ability, because there’s a great chance that if Adrian killed all these men now, it’d anger them enough to kill Emily’s daughter. And just as they’d anticipated, some men soon arrived at the building. By then, it was only Steve in the room. Emily and Adrian were in the underground building that Steve had in his house. The underground building was bigger than the one on the surface that people normally see, and inside the basement underground there was a sta

Steve, seeing this, was dumbfounded. He’d thought that somehow Emily was able to transfer his abilities back, but when he looked at her, she was just as surprised as he was. And again, there was a noticeable difference as Steve stared at Adrian right now. Before, Adrian usually had a bluish aura around him that glowed so brightly in a way that indicated the amount of his Kareth ability was much greater than usual. Although it’s not much of a big deal, because Steve had also seen this in stronger people like kings back in their homeland. The aura was usually around the same amount as those people, even as Adrian’s father’s own before the man died. And Steve was always amused by the way Adrian’s Kareth was so strong and bright at the time. Even when he was not yet a king, Steve could already imagine how powerful he’d be after he’d done the ritual that would make him a king. “So, Emily, tell me what you told Ty

Emily didn’t have to push it all too much within just a day, so she’d give it a rest today. She thought. Trying all she could to convince Adrian that somehow, if the Tyson and Boone family are to find out about his weakness, that he didn’t have his Kareth ability, this would really be their perfect chance to get their revenge on him. Soon as she left him to himself, Adrian began to think about it. Does she not truly know about my Kareth ability? he thought. In truth, he doubted if she’d even seen anything related to that. And he’s sure that she did check something in his memory, although he didn’t know what information she checked, but it doesn’t sit right, the way she’s trying to convince him. Because if she truly saw something about it, she wouldn’t be trying to force him to get his Kareth back. In a way, his Kareth didn’t entirely lea

A long time ago, the kingdoms were all living in almost peaceful and friendly terms, although they’d have moments of disputes and it’d result into war. But it was until one time when Mr. Foster had gone to visit a different kingdom called Ardoria and claimed that they were doing illegal activities. He said they were making technologies with their abilities and selling them to the weak human world. At the time, humans had no technological sense or so until the Ardoria people started to make inventions using their abilities. A Kareth ability varies in things that it could do, and that includes infusing it into objects, like a forger who wants to make a weapon that has active abilities. In the same way, it could be used to make modern cars and so on. Somehow Adrian’s father, known as Mr. Foster, accused his own family who were the rulers of the Ardoria king

This sounded too good to be true to Evan, who was attentively listening. He couldn’t believe she just said she’d let him take her points. It wasn’t against the rules to go in groups of more than five for a mission, but people tried to keep it as minimal as possible so they could get enough points from the hunt. If too many people went, it’d be almost useless because the points would be split—except if someone was willing to give their points, just like she had said now. “Wow, are you serious?” Evan asked, trying to be sure he wasn’t hearing something else, or perhaps she meant another thing entirely. Not like he really wanted to hear her say no, though. “My name is Fay. If we must work together, I’d like to know your names as well,” she said as she stretched out her hand to Felix for a shake. Her voice sounded soft but carried confidence, matching the quiet breeze flowing through the open training field around them. Felix looked at her hand and didn’t even make a move. It was alm

For some reason, whenever a new member was to be welcomed into the faction, they’d always make sure to put them up against someone strong and test the person’s full strength. In a way, they tended to use this to prove their faction wasn’t weak at all. And beyond that, the people were currently in low spirits. The reason why more people had gathered than usual to watch them test a new member wasn’t because many normally gathered around. Most of them had just lost their best friends and people they saw as family in their last mission. This kind of mission didn’t come often in their system, and it was done to test their strength and remind them they needed to level up and grow stronger. So once in a while, they’d send more dangerous beasts to them like this. Now it had greatly caused the people to feel down, and some were even afraid of ever going out to fight another beast, as the image of their fallen friends was still fresh in their minds. The arena felt heavier than usual, the du
