Chapter 005

Patrick woke up the following morning with a headache. He sat up on his bed and stared around, trying to remember the hot, stupid dream he had the previous night.

“Fụck!” he cursed.

“What happened here?” he asked again. Just then he heard a knock on his room door, pulling him out of his rival thoughts. As he stared at his door, it flung open and Jeff Hudson stepped in.

“Good morning, boss,” Jeff greeted Patrick. He stared at Patrick in surprise, seeing him still sitting on his bed and clutching his head, using his right palm to support his aching head.

Patrick wanted to slide out of his bed and realized he was stark naked. Jeff hastily stared away from Patrick, even though he was older than him. Patrick was still his boss.

“Get out!” Patrick commanded.

“Yes, boss!” Jeff responded at once and exited the room, wondering what had gone wrong with his boss.

Jeff went out to receive the company’s call from some private clients. They were calling to find out why the young Anderson had missed the meeting with their members the previous night.

Meanwhile Patrick slid out from his bed, trying to imagine the dream he had had the previous night. He remembered a beautiful fair woman in his arms, and they were both making love, but he could not remember her face.

“But her eyes…” Patrick said as he frowned and stared back at his bed. He wanted to pull the bedspread away and saw the red stain.

“Oh my! What happened here?” Patrick exclaimed.

Jeff, who was still standing behind the door after he had previously excused the young master, swiftly darted back into the room, ending the call. He stared at his boss in shock as he saw him fully naked and also the red stain on the bed.

Jeff grew confused as he stared at Patrick.

“Get out, and give me some privacy,” Patrick spoke.

“I’m sorry, boss. I heard you scream.” Jeff swallowed and exited, not really understanding his annoying boss.

Since Patrick had graduated and resumed his office position as the new CEO managing all his father’s secret business and public affairs, Patrick had become bitter. Jeff wondered why the young billionaire would feel like that when his parents had left a billion-dollar fortune for him.

Jeff shook his head as he exited his boss’s sitting room. He walked into the elevator and went down to the ground floor. He exited the building and went outside to wait at the garage. The time was already past 8 a.m. on a bright Wednesday morning.

“Wasn’t it a dream?” Patrick asked himself as he flung his bedspread away, irritated at seeing the dried deep-red stain on his white bedspread.

He walked to his large exquisite bathroom to shower, believing he might have injured himself and bled the previous night.

Patrick switched on the shower tap and quickly took his bath, noticing he was late. He was the boss, so he was not afraid of anything. He owned the mega Anderson Hotel and Suites and other fashion and blog magazines. Patrick also ran his father’s oil business and had many personal businesses he sponsored.

Quickly, Patrick bathed and stepped out of his bathroom. He walked back to his room, stared at the white bedspread he had thrown to the tiled floor again, and avoided it, trying not to think deeply about the possibility of the stain.

Patrick walked to his wardrobe and brought out a blue suit with a white undershirt. He dressed quickly, first wearing his black shorts and white singlet. He held his blue trousers and put them on.

Just then he heard a subtle knock on his room door again.

Patrick knew it was his mother’s maids who had arrived to clean up his room, since he had woken late instead of the usual 7 a.m. he used to wake.

Patrick walked to his large wall mirror hanging brightly by his right side and stared at his handsome reflection. Just then an image flashed in his mind and his heart panicked.

“What was that?” Patrick asked himself as he shook his head, remembering someone had bumped into his room the previous night when he was naked and staring at his wall mirror too. His eyes narrowed at the remembrance. He walked back to his room door and angrily flung it open to see who the intruder was, still believing all that had happened the previous night was only a dream.

Patrick opened his room door wider in anger and saw two slim maids, dark in complexion and dressed in their pink gowns, standing in his view. His anger boiled.

“What do you want here? Can’t you wait for me to leave first before you bump into my room? Get out!” Patrick slammed his door hard on them. He walked back to his reading table and saw the tray of food covered there. His brows furrowed.

“Obviously it wasn’t a dream,” Patrick said.

Patrick frowned and placed his hands around his waist, trying to remember who had brought the meal the previous night.

“That new maid. My goodness!” he exclaimed. He walked back to his bedspread on the floor, picked it up, sniffed it again, and touched the stains.

His fist tightened as he realized it was no dream.

He threw the bedspread onto the bed and walked to his study table. He opened the plate of meal.

“She had brought it last night, and she dared to peep on me, but how come?”

Patrick shook his head in denial, grabbed his briefcase, and held his blue suit in his right arm as he walked out of his room.

He stared at the two maids waiting for him to be through. Obviously it was not any of them, as they had flat chests. He stared away from them and walked toward the elevator going downstairs.

Patrick stepped out and walked onto the first floor. His mother was already seated in the dining room and smiling at him. Someone sat across from her, and he heard her discussing with the person.

Patrick kept his briefcase down on a nearby couch and put on his suit first to look work-smart. Just as he grabbed his briefcase again and stared up, he saw Willow smiling at him. She was the one sitting with his mother.

“He’s here already, Ma,” Willow said as she winked at Patrick. His eyes narrowed at her. He clicked his black shoes on the tiled floor and walked slowly to meet his mother sitting at the dining table.

“Good morning, Mother,” Patrick greeted as he approached his mother and gave her a warm hug. His mother pulled away from him and smiled.

“Son, your baby is here and I’m so happy to see her,” his mother replied as she smiled at him.

Patrick kept an expressionless face as he tried to figure out why Willow had appeared all of a sudden in his family home.

His mother knew how much he loved Willow, and he had never told her about their breakup.

“Son, what’s wrong? Didn’t you eat your dinner last night?” his mother inquired.

Patrick's eyes darkened as he heard his mother’s question. Just then he saw the familiar-looking maid step out of the kitchen holding another tray. She looked like sunshine in her pink uniform, a simple dress with her white apron tied at the front.

Loveth had previously been in the kitchen preparing her madam’s tea with Aria.

Aria had been working in the Andersons’ home for ten years and was twenty-eight years old now.

Loveth prepared the tea and carried it out to serve her madam the herbal tea made in a small teacup. She had not expected her madam’s son to be out and standing beside his mother in the long dining room.

Her hold on the tray tightened, as that was the last medicinal tea left, and she did not want to lose her grip on it.

Loveth walked slowly to the dining table and felt all eyes on her.

Willow stared at Patrick and saw him staring at the maid. She was also shocked to see a beautiful young lady like her in the mansion.

The maid approached the dining table and greeted them. “Good morning, Ma. Good morning.” She blushed nervously. Willow shifted her gaze away to stare at Patrick.

Patrick still had his expressionless face on. Willow knew Patrick was angry with her, as she had not thought of Tony recording her sex escapades with him and sending it to Patrick.

Willow had wanted to bang Tony truly after he had sent an image of his dîck to her W******p chat. But she still loved Patrick very much.

Similarly, Willow had not thought her secret affair with Tony and her reason for traveling without informing Patrick would leak. She knew he loved her very much, but Tony had made it seem as if she had purposely dumped Patrick and chosen him over Patrick.
