— Kael —

I hadn’t slept

The moment her power flared last night I knew she had crossed the line between human and Wolf . She didn’t understand what was happening but I didn’t want to intervene and have her see me

as some random crazy or worse not believe me .

I smashed my hands into the steering wheel , “ how to fuck am I going to do this “

Still I couldn’t stop watching I peered from my car across the street , I saw her shadow move through the curtains the sound of her heartbeat hit me even from here , uneven , wild and scared .

Dax howled inside the mind link “ she’s scared she needs us “ “ she needs the truth “ I whispered gripping the steering wheel she doesn’t belong here she was born for my world . The only problem is I didn’t know how to get her back there without frightening her .

Nate mind-linked me “ Kael I traced the signature to an Elenor Vance , Last known address 151 bridge street , just on the outerbrinks of the human city “ “ I’m on my way “ .the closer we got the stronger the unease grew in my chest my wolf didn’t like this , It was a forty minute drive and the whole way there all I could think about was getting back to her , all the what if’s , what if she changed while I was gone , what would happen to her , what would she do , then filled by rage the moment it crossed my mind of who we were going to see and what would they say , I’ll get answers wether they want to tell or not ..

I pulled up directly behind Nate’s car the tension filled the air its the unknown putting me on edge .

“ you think she’s still alive ? “ Nate asked standing outside his car door “ the address was updated last year “ he said “ if she’s been hiding ayla’s trail this long , she knows how to survive “

Lets hope she’s friendly Nate grunted

Ahead sat a small cottage weather worn , half hidden behind vines , and wild roses , smoke curled from the chimney , someone was home .

Nate nodded , his scent shifting - alert and cautious .

We walked up the path , gravel crunching beneath our feet , until we reached an old worn down porch , before I could knock the door creaked open .

A woman stood in the frame , grey hair almost silver , frail , eyes sharp , she froze when she saw me , her lips parted colour draining from her face .

“ Kael “ she whispered

My pulse kicked “ you know me ? “

She exhaled stepping closer into the light “ how could I not , you’ve grown into your fathers eyes “

I stiffened “ who are you “

She hesitated , then said quietly , “ my name is Eleanor Vance I was once Lycan of the Silver Pack and aylas mother “

The world stilled , even dax my wolf went silent

“ that’s impossible” Nate muttered “ there were no traces of the silver pack they all— “

“ died in the fire .. “ she finished for him , that’s what they wanted everyone to believe

I stared at her , the truth clawing its way through shock , “ you survived “

“ barely “ she said “ but I couldn’t let them find her .. “ the night the silver moon pack fell men came hunting , not for territory , not for blood but for what ran through it “

“ the moons bloodline “ I murmured

Elenor nodded slowly “ the old blood , the one tied to the moon goddess herself “

“Ayla “ I whispered

“Ayla “ she confirmed , the last daughter of the silver line prophecy marked her birth that she would be the Luna reborn , the one who could awaken the balance between light and shadow “

Nate exhaled sharply “ so they burned a whole pack for a child “

“ they thought they did “ but i hid her before the flames reached the pack house , i took her to the river left every trace of magic behind and ran , when they found the ruins they assumed we were both dead i found help at a small hospital , the burns, the smoke it was enough to hide who i was i gave her a new identity, wiped every trace of our past “

She turnt towards me then eyes shimmering with something fierce “ then i waited “

“ For what “

“ for you “

The words struck like thunder

“ I knew one day Kael of the north would take his father’s place , and when he did the moon would call him back to her “ only an alpha bound to her soul would be able to protect her when the seal began to break “

“ the seal “ I said “ you placed it on her “

“ with the help of an old witch , yes , it was the only way to keep her safe , the magic hid her wolf , her memories and even her scent but the moment you felt the bond it began to unravel . “

“ that’s why she’s remembering “

Because she’s no longer a child hiding from her fate.”

Nate rubbed the back of his neck. “And what happens when it breaks completely?”

Eleanor’s gaze hardened. “Then the world will know the Moon’s heir still lives. And the same men who burned my family will come for her again.”

I clenched my fists. “Let them come.”

Silence hung thick for a long moment. Outside, the wind moved through the trees — soft, whispering.

“Does she know?” I asked finally.

“Not yet. Her memories are still in pieces.”

“Then tell me how to help her.”

“You can’t protect her from what she is, Kael. But you can help her remember who she was meant to be.”

I met her gaze. “Then tell me everything.”

She walked to a small chest by the hearth, unlocking it with a silver key. From inside, she pulled an old pendant — a crescent moon, half cracked, engraved with a symbol that pulsed faintly in the light.

“This belonged to her grandmother,” she said, placing it carefully in my hand. “When Ayla wears it, her wolf will remember the truth , and aylas memories will come back .”

“And when that happens?”

“The Moon Goddess herself will see her. And the Council will too.”

Nate cursed softly under his breath.

Eleanor met my eyes again. “You must choose carefully, Alpha. Because when the Moon calls her name again, it won’t just be for love.”

“Then what for?”

“For war.”

The firelight flickered across her face, and in that glow, I could see the truth: this wasn’t just Ayla’s mother.

She was the last Luna before her. The one who’d defied the gods and lived to hide their child.

  • The Unknown Luna   One with the moon

Ayla - The air around me hummed — alive, electric, waiting.Kael stood before me in his wolf form, massive and beautiful, his fur black as midnight, eyes glowing with molten gold. Dax. His wolf.He didn’t move closer; he didn’t force it. He just watched me, steady and unyielding, the moonlight catching the edges of his fur like fire. Somehow, that made it easier to breathe. The bond between us pulsed — steady, rhythmic, like a second heartbeat. Then everything inside me started to shake. The air thickened, heat rising under my skin. My pulse thundered in my ears, and the world tilted. I dropped to my knees, hands digging into the cool earth. It’s okay, Kael’s voice whispered in my head, warm and distant at once. “ Nala “ he called softly . The word echoed through me, tearing something open. I hadn’t felt safe in years maybe ever. But with him, even as everything broke apart, some part of me believed it.Then I heard her.A voice like wind through the trees soft, ancient, familiar.

  • The Unknown Luna   His Heir

I met her gaze, my pulse syncing with hers. “Nala’s waiting for you,” I said quietly. “Would you let me take you to her?”Her breath caught. “How?”“Through the bond,” I said, reaching out, my hand trembling with restraint. “If you trust me, I can help you open the link fully let you meet her where she truly lives. Between our worlds.”For a moment, she only stared at me — torn between fear and the instinct pulling her closer. Then she nodded.“Okay,” she whispered. “Show me.”The night had been waiting for us.The moon hung low and swollen, its light pouring silver over the forest. I led her through the trees in silence, every step pulsing with the bond that now hummed alive between us. The air carried her scent soft, nervous, electric and beneath it, I could feel Nala and couldn’t wait for dax and her to be close . Ayla followed close behind, barefoot in the grass, her breath shallow, eyes wide as the forest shifted around us. The wind stirred like it recognized her. The trees le

  • The Unknown Luna   Becoming One

Kael - The corridors of the Alpha house were hushed when I left her room, but the silence didn’t fool anyone. The pack had felt the shift a surge of lunar energy so strong it rattled the glass. They knew. Even if they didn’t yet understand. My mother and father were waiting in the council hall the same place where every Alpha of our line had made their vows. The silver light from the moon pooled through the skylight above them, casting pale halos over their heads. My mother turned first. Her eyes, bright and knowing, found mine before I spoke.“You don’t need to say it,” she said softly. “We felt it the moment she stepped into this house.”My father’s voice rumbled low. “The Moon’s Heir.I nodded once. “Ayla.”“Eleanor’s child,” my mother murmured. “I always feared she didn’t die that night. The bloodline would never vanish without reason.”“ if the prophecy is true , you two will create a new upbringing a whole new kingdom “ my mother said with slight excitement Every breath I tak

  • The Unknown Luna   The moons Mark

Ayla - The first thing I felt was heat. Not the sharp sting of fever, but the kind that came from safety from belonging. The air smelled of cedar and smoke, and something darker beneath it, power, steady and alive.I opened my eyes slowly. The room around me was huge walls of stone and timber, the faint golden light of dawn spilling through tall windows. My head ached faintly, but it wasn’t the pain that made my pulse race.It was his scent , intoxicating it sent warmth through my body hitting every nerve , heat pooled in my lower stomach leaving me gasping for air , I gripped the sheets , I swung my legs over the side of the bed, the floor cold against my feet sent a wave of relief over my body . My body felt… different. Heightened. Every sound sharpened the crackle of a fire somewhere beyond the door, the rhythm of footsteps far below. My hearing had never been that sharp.Where am I?” I asked quietly.Home.“Home?” I repeated. With him, Nala said. With Kael. The name sent a sh

  • The Unknown Luna   When Wolves become One

Ayla.Curled on the floor, trembling, her skin glowing faintly under the moonlight streaming through the window. Her hair clung to her face, and for one impossible second, I swore I saw silver threads woven through it.My breath caught. My wolf went silent , “Moon above…” I whispered.I knelt beside her carefully, afraid that even my touch might break her. Her heartbeat was fast, erratic her body caught between human and wolf. Her scent… gods, her scent was pure wilderness, wild and sacred.“Ayla,” I murmured, brushing a strand of hair from her face. Her eyes fluttered open. For a heartbeat, gold burned beneath the blue not human at all.“Kael…”It wasn’t a question. It was recognition. The bond pulsed so hard I nearly lost control. My wolf lunged forward, desperate to claim, to protect, to soothe. I had to fight the instinct, force myself to breathe.“You’re safe,” I said hoarsely. “I’ve got you.”“It hurts,” she whispered.“I know.” My voice broke. “You’re changing too fast. Your

  • The Unknown Luna   The Awakened bond

    — Ayla — I didn’t remember falling. One moment I was standing by the window, staring at the moon, and the next — the floor was cold against my skin, my heartbeat a thunderstorm inside my chest.“Nala,” I gasped. My voice sounded distant, hollow. “What’s happening?”You’re awakening too fast, she said, her tone sharp but steady. The seal wasn’t meant to break this soon.“It hurts,” I whimpered, clutching my chest. Every nerve in my body burned heat flooding through my veins, my bones aching like they were trying to tear themselves apart.Because the bond has flared to life.“Bond?”To him.The words echoed through me like thunder. My breath hitched. My vision blurred — flashes of golden eyes, a voice whispering my name through smoke and fire.“Kael,” I breathed. I didn’t know why I said it only that saying his name made the air tremble. He hears you, Nala whispered. He always has.The apartment lights flickered violently — the glass on the coffee table cracking under invisible press
