Forty Three

Asher’s POV

“Run faster, Asher. Run so much you can’t think about her.”

I ran faster as I told myself to, not stopping even though my legs were starting to feel the pain. I continued to run until it couldn’t even feel it anymore, going numb.

Her head thrown back in laughter, the way she put her hand on his shoulder, and let him touch her like he did, that hunted me, and to be honest, I still don’t understand why.

This wasn’t fair though, whatever this was, overtake my mind like this and clogging my brain so much it’s all I can think about. The thought was overwhelming, eating my mind all up, and taking over every other thing in there.

I heard a knock sounding on the door of the gym and I hissed when I heard Matias walked in. I could tell he was the one even without saying a word. “Sir, I have news for you.” He said.

I continued running on the treadmill, waiting for him to say whatever it was he was about to say, but he didn’t. Instead, he repeated his words.

“Sir, I have news for you.
