One Hundred and Thirty Three

Asher’s POV

As May supported me into the house from the car, I knew that she was definitely not fully here, she had something in her mind. I had noticed that since she came to the hospital, but I didn’t ask her anything.

I was sure she would let me know if it was something she wanted to, and she would tell me if she was ready to. All I wanted to do was enjoy this moment, when I had my wife back at our house, and she would be staying over, cooking for me and stuff.

Being back home reminded me of how terrified I was when what happened did, but I was with May, so it wasn’t really that big of a deal. As scary as it seemed that day, and how it was when I imagined the doctors cutting into my abdomen as they wheeled me into the operating room when I was a little conscious, it was nothing compared to my fear of losing May.

Not even one bit close, and that was what I would be trying to work on, so that I don’t lose her.
