Leo’s POV

The boardroom of Wesley Group was saddled with quiet tension when the meeting commenced. Although it was well anticipated, as this wasn’t the usual meeting but a proposal meeting for the upcoming sixtieth anniversary of Wesley group. All managers, directors, and investors have gathered, faces sharp and battle-ready. It was the first meeting since Zara and I were welcomed into Wesley group, so there were a few head turns here and there towards us. It wasn’t my first time in the board room, though. I had often come with my father, Brad, to watch how to be a leader and learn how to pitch to investors. Those were the only valuable things I learnt from him.

I glanced briefly at Zara seated beside, and as always, she was calm and collected as she rhythmically tapped on her tablet. Zane and Elora came in hand in hand and took their seat. That was strange because the report Kelvin had been giving was that they were at loggerheads since Zara came back and drove a wedge between them.

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   The Blackmail

Zane’s POVFor the first time since I was dragged into this hellhole, I didn’t feel like a caged man, but rather, I felt like the one holding the leash.I sat at the edge of my bunk, the metal frame creaking as I adjusted. I stared at the bar gate, waiting for the guard to swing it open. I had bribed a guard earlier to grant me a chance to get this call through. I emptied my stash just so I could make this call, and it would be worth it in the end. That I was sure of. Immediately he slid it open gently, I nodded and went out instantly, my pulse steady. I picked up the receiver and dialed the one person who could actually get me out of here. Brad Wesley. “Hello, father,” I teased when he picked up the call.“Why are you calling me?” he hissed, his voice sharp and authoritative.“Because,” I said slowly, “I would hand you the biggest nightmare of your life if you don’t do as I say.”There was silence on the other end, which stretched for far too long. Then his laughter broke it, loud

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   The Betrayal of a Lifetime

Mrs Shane’s POVToday, I told myself as I walked into the prison that I was going to uncover the truth. No more doubt, no more whispers and rumours would cloud my judgment about my daughter. I would get to the root of the matter today, after the plan I had with the chief of the prison guards. She was my high-school friend whom I had asked for a favour last week.My heart pounded for a reason I couldn’t name. Maybe I was scared I would have to accept that my daughter actually lied to me intentionally, or I was unhappy with myself for doubting my precious daughter for a second.I took gigantic steps down the hallway to her office, each step heavier than the last, until I reached my friend's office. She immediately got up and welcomed me with a hug.“How are you doing, Mrs Shane?” Her voice was calm and soft.I returned the gesture, but deep down, I didn’t have time for it and couldn’t wait to get down to why I was here.“So, you said you have something for me already,” I began impatient

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   It’s Over Between Us

Leo’s POVAs I got out, the once cool night air became suffocating.“Arghhh!” I screamed in tears, falling to my knees on the road, men and women stealing glances as they passed by.“How?” My lips trembled, saliva dripping out of my mouth. “How could they do this to me? Why did I have to live my life as Brad’s son? Why did my real father leave and my mother all alone in the hands of Brad?”I dragged myself up from the street and forced myself into my car. I never want anything to do with Edward Wesley. I could never accept him as my father. He was even more wicked than Brad to think it wise to leave his son and his son’s mother alone with that beast. I didn’t even want to understand how my mother was Brad’s wife and how I wasn’t Brad’s son.I was just going to focus on my revenge and my life with Zara. I wouldn’t let anything to anyone stop me.I had planned to tell Zara everything tonight. How I am Brad’s son, how I was disowned, and how my mother died. But, hearing this tonight, I d

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   Your Real Father

Leo’s POVKelvin’s voice was low and deep as he dropped the report on my desk. “We have a problem, Leo. A serious one.”I adjusted in my seat, my brows knitted. “What problem? Didn’t our sources inform us that things were going smoothly?”“Yeah, but news reaching me now is that some board members are pulling away and pledging their allegiance to Brad.” His voice was low and disturbed. I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my forehead. “Who are they exactly, and how many?”“I haven’t gotten all their identities. However, we are certain that Claire, Richard, and Wilson are gone. They are ten currently,” he said, his voice carrying the weight of betrayal.I sighed deeply. “Well. We didn’t expect Brad to go down without a fight. It can only mean he has something on each of them, or he has promised them some kind of incentive.”Kelvin ran a hand down his face. “But if we are not able to win them over again, our supporters would have reduced by a whopping seventy percent.”My stomach twisted.

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   A Brother In The Shadows

Zane’s POVI swung up and down the pull-up machine in the prison gym, sweating and breathing fast, but I didn’t stop. I couldn’t. I had to build myself up for my comeback when I get out of this place. Every move I made, every grunt I pushed out, was purposeful and filled with rage against those who put me in here.I moved to the bench press, pushing up the bar when some figures towered over me. I rolled my eyes and acted like I didn’t see them. They were the same bastards who had jumped me on my first day in prison. They were that one group that went around bullying anyone they came across, like they owned the prison. “Don’t you know this is Don’s spot? How dare you sit here and do your meaningless routines?” One of the bastards asked, but I ignored and continued pushing up the bar.Don was their ring leader. He had been in prison for years. This place could as well be called his home now. He had garnered favours from both junior and senior prisoners, new and old prison guards, and w

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   A Kiss at Sunset

Zara’s POVThe image of Elora collapsing on the floor gave me more satisfaction than I had anticipated. She had always put up a venomous and monstrous look like she could devour anyone at any time. But today, she was softened and stripped of her mask, releasing the ugliest weakness and vulnerability I had always wanted to see.Since I got back from New York, it was the second most rewarding scene I had witnessed. The first was Zane being dragged like a thief from the Wesley Group he prided in so much, just to be thrown in a cell.I felt no pity for them. Only disgust. And I didn’t plan on stopping here. Not until they had both paid for all their sins.A smile broke out on my face as I remembered the look of hope on Elora’s face when I made her a promise. It was really bold of her to think I would stoop so low to her level and also keep the hideous thing she did a secret from the Shanes. Thankfully, because of her gullibility, I had Paulo’s address in hand–the key to clearing the scan
