A couple of weeks later...
Maria's POV
It's been a couple weeks now since I've been back.
Thankfully, Luke and I are getting along quite well. We haven't argued or fought since the crash and I'm so thankful for that. I don't think I could handle another fight.
I've just woken up and realized it's Luke's birthday today. He's told me not to cook or clean and let the maids and chefs handle it. But, I know he enjoyed it when I cooked for him a while back, so I've decided I'm going to make him breakfast today.
Every morning we wake up around the same time. He usually gets dressed, kisses me goodbye, and goes to the gym. When he's done, we meet in the kitchen and have breakfast together. And ever since we had that conversation at breakfast, there's always a guard following me. I thought It would only last a short time, but he's always following me and watching my every move.
