If you're sensitive to this stuff, I would recommend you very kindly go find another book to read as there are many people triggered by this sort of content.Thank you!Maria's P.O.VThe obnoxiously loud ringing of my alarm sings through my ear as I dreadfully force myself up in bed. As soon as I pick up my phone from the bedside table, though, I see that it's Saturday today and, well- I've been graduated for nearly a month now. Pre-med here I come...My phone buzzes me a reminder when I unlock it, notifying me that I'm supposed to be ready by now and that my best

Chapter 2: Meeting Day
Maria's POVSo today is the day. The day where I'll be meeting my apparent fiancé: The infamous Luke Sanchez. Well, at least that's what my parents said his name was.Footsteps sound from the staircase from outside my bedroom and I scramble to get my dress on. It's a simple short, poofy blue dress. It isn't too short, though. It's only at my knee. There's no way in hell I'll be trying to get any first-time action today from Luke, or forever for that matter."Hey, Hun." My mom peaks her head in through the door and smiles when she sees me standing here in the dress I picked out. "You look beautiful as always, my girl. Luke is very lucky to have you."I don't even bother say thank you or even return the smile. I simply stand ther

Chapter 3: Anger
MARIA'S POVHe was most definitely drunk, though. And it wasn't only a drink, it was multiple drinks. I kiss him back, still clueless on how this whole kissing thing actually works. I stand there, gripping his shoulders, standing on my tippy-toes and try my best to make this at least good for him, because this definitely feels good for me.All until I can feel his hands latching onto the hem of my shirt and begin pulling it over my body as though we've done this a hundred times before and I'm just fine with it; he doesn't need to ask if it's alright or not!"Please don't do this, Luke,." I say, trembling as he looked down at me with a sly grin on that devastatingly handsome face.He grabs me firmly by the waist, pulling me even closer into him now. A tear slips from my eye as I can only begin to process what's about to happen. I'm not ready. I don't think I'll ever be ready.Luke looks down at me sadly and lets go of me. "I'm so sorry Maria..

Chapter 4: I do
Maria's POVI eventually cried myself to a deep sleep after Luke and I's fight. All night long I had tossed and turned being too scared to let my guard down and have him come into this room. That was the last thing I wanted. In the morning, I wake up to a loud banging noise on my door. I instantly pull myself out of bed and straggled on over to the door. There at the door is Luke standing, his arms crossed across his broad chest and staring down at me angrily. "What do you want?" I spit, keeping the door only a quarter of the way open."Watch your tone Maria, I'm still in charge here." His voice is all low and husky from just having woken up. If I weren't furious with him right now, I'd tell him to come in and just talk to me in that voice of his. Yep, just talk nothing else.

Chapter 5 distress
Luke's POV6:30 am back at the house.Suddenly, my body tenses itself awake as the obnoxious buzzing and beeping of ,my phone continuously goes off, forcing me to roll over and shut the damn thing off.I sit up in bed tiredly and look down at my phone. It's Cody calling."What do you want Cody?" I answer annoyed that he's probably woken me up just to tell me about a new girlfriend or something.I hear him grumble just as annoyed back to me before yelling through the phone, "Luke, get your ass over to the hospital. It's Maria!"My grasp on the phone loses as I hear the words escape his mouth and my stomach drops to my feet. Fuck, she's gotten herself hurt!"I'll be there soon!" I quickly tell him before throwing the covers off of my naked body and begin pulling clothes onto me in a rush. When I got my clothes on I looked at Bethany who was naked in mine and Maria's bed. "Get the fuck out," I spit, my eyes focusing on her sleepy

I scream and scream but still no light, just darkness everywhere I look. After, what feels like hours, I finally awake with a gasp sitting straight up in bed. I look around and see I'm back at this place, the place I hate the most. The room looks like it's been cleaned, and there is brand new bedding and sheets on the bed.Ha, so Mr. Heartless does care? Now that would’ve been hard to guess.I slowly get out of bed trying not to cause any more pain to myself then there already is. I'm hooked up to an IV and have bandaging around my face and stomach as well. I go to look at the date on my phone but it's gone. What the hell? How long have I been asleep? Then, with instinct, I scurry over to the door and try to open it.Locked.I take a deep breath and back up. "It's all going to be okay,” I whisper to myself then gradually, I start making my way over to the bathr

Maria's POVA week later...It's been a week since everything has happened. And I was right; he was going to take his pain away by screaming at me.I've resigned to sleeping on the couch for now on because I do plan on getting out of here and going to med school. Planning just takes a bit of time, especially when you're trapped in a mansion over-seen by guards and your evil "husband".I've just woken up from yet another awful sleep on the couch and am now heading into the kitchen for some cereal. It's like this everyday: wake up, get myself some cheerios and coffee,When I enter the kitchen Luke is standing at the island, his lean muscular body leaning against the island, talking on the phone. From what it sounds like, it must be his father.Heading into the kitchen, I begin to open and close the cabinets a few times as I try and search for a bowl. But, even as quiet as I try to be, I guess Luke still gets pissed off.He whips around

Then, there's moaning.I head into the foyer and notice both my parents standing at the door speaking with Luke."Ahh Maria." My mother says as though she's trying to cover up the fact she was likely just talking about me. "Why don't you get us some drinks and meet us in the dinning hall alright, Dear?" She tells with that fake-ass smile.I return the smile and head into the kitchen to get the drinks. After retrieving some wine and cider, setting them on the table, I try and go ahead and head back to my own business to let them all speak. But my mother speaks up once again, "Sit down, Maria.." she orders, tapping her fingers on the
