After we ate dessert and rested for a while we walked out of the restaurant.
Dave Arkiel booked a taxi for Kenny and Bea. He sent them first because he said we still need to talk. The two didn't want to leave me but I said I was okay so they agreed. It's almost night and Bea might get scolded by her parents who are still strict.
While in the parking area I thought of calling my Mom. I excused myself to Dave Arkiel for a while and walked a little along the side. I just wanted to let her know where I was so she wouldn't worry. Fortunately, she answered immediately.
"Hi mom, I just want to say that I'll be home a little late later. I'm with Dave Arkiel. We're just going somewhere. Can you tell daddy too in case he asks where I am?"
