A Fierce Kiss

We reached the pack house, where Matt was standing in the driveway, looking worried. Daphne was by his side, and I saw something that resembled pity in her eyes, but it was gone.

“Di, why did you run away?” she hissed, grabbing my right arm, causing me to wince in pain. My arm still hadn’t fully healed from the fall I took last night. Alpha Kennis stopped walking and slowly turned to Matt. “If that woman continues to harass and touch my Luna, I’ll have no choice but to rip her arms off,” He spoke in a voice that sent shivers down everyone's spine, icy and devoid of emotion. His threat made both my sister and Matt go pale. We knew Alpha Kennis could carry out that threat without flinching.

He resumed walking, and I followed behind, leaving Matt and Daphne still looking like ghosts. My parents, whom I hadn't seen, had their mouths open in shock, and fear was written on their faces.

I had just entered my bedroom when Kennis's voice came through my mind-link, ‘You’re sleeping in my room tonight.’ I was prepared to ignore him, but the more I did, the more I felt his aura pressing down on me, even though he wasn’t in the same room. A terrible headache began to form, and I winced.

‘Okay,’ I finally conceded, and the headache relented—that bastard.

I put on the worst pair of pajamas I could find, and didn’t bother brushing my hair. It was a tangled mess. With a heavy, drumming heart, I made my way to his room. On the way there, I ran into Louis.

“I was coming to escort you to his room,” he said with a lopsided smile, but frowned when he saw my outfit. “Why are you wearing such unflattering pajamas? Don’t you want to get lucky?” he winked.

“Funny,” I exhaled.

“I know, I’m hilarious, but I was serious,” I didn’t respond again. After what he did to Mark in the woods, I hated him, too.

Louis opened the door to Alpha Kennis’s room, and I reluctantly entered.  My body shivered at the thought of being in the same room as that ancient Alpha. He was sitting on the sofa, wearing an icy expression sharp enough to cut steel. I stood in the corner of the room. The silence was deafening, and my wolf whimpered inside my mind.

“Come here,” he ordered, and my legs moved towards him as I kept my gaze on the floor. He stood, grabbing my chin with his fingers to examine my face. His fingers trailed to my neck, where the mark I loathed lay, and then down to the spot where he had hurt me.

“Your healing is pathetic,” he muttered. It was true. I wasn’t the fastest healer in my pack. He pulled back and watched me for a long time before he spoke again.

“I chose you because you’ll give me the heir I want,” he said as though he was talking about today’s weather. Is that why he had been desperate to get a Luna all of a sudden?

I jumped back. “Hell no,” I growled.

His expression remained unchanged, ignoring my outburst, “An heir who will continue my bloodline.”

“No,"

“You have no choice in the matter. Your Alpha and family have agreed to it.”

“Not me! I’m sure many other she-wolves would be happy to do that,” I sneered, my anger flaring.

“Just you,” he said.

“Why?” I asked, at the verge of crying, but I refused to let tears fall again.

“Because I say so,”

Kennis's eyes dipped to my lips, and he suddenly pushed me against the wall, his huge muscled frame trapping me. He crashed his lips on me in a savage kiss. I gasped for air, and he used the opportunity to thrust his tongue in my mouth. The kiss was so intense and forceful. I’d never been kissed like this before.

I fought to be released to no avail. My head banged against the wall, making me cry in pain, but Alpha Kennis didn’t stop. His hand closed around my throat as the other went to touch my breasts. I thrashed, but that seemed only to drive him more. I shuddered at the feel of his cock against my stomach. When he finally pulled away and released the hand around my throat, I was panting for air, and my lips were bruised.

My eyes glowed with anger. “You're an asshole!”

“You’re mine, little wolf,” Kennis said in a low growl. He extended his knife-like claws to cut through my cotton pajama shirt. Fear, so much fear coursed through me, and the tears I tried to hold back escaped, streaming down my cheeks.. He grabbed my breasts in his hand, gently at first.

Suddenly, he lifted me and threw me onto the bed, making me yelp. He hovered over me, but before he could do anything, there was pounding on the door.

“Go away!” he roared. The pounding continued. Alpha Kennis growled and got off me. I escaped the bed, quickly gathering my pajamas and running to lock myself in the bathroom. I slid against the door and sat on the cold floor, crying. I wanted to mind-link with my parents to help me out of this situation, but they wouldn’t.

The door opened minutes later, and I trembled, holding my mouth to keep me from sobbing. I was sure I had fallen asleep on the bathroom floor, but when I woke, I was in bed… alone, thank goddess. I mind-linked Mark to ask how he was doing, and I was relieved to hear he was healing, although the pack doctors were keeping him at the clinic for a few days to observe him.

I clambered out of bed. Luckily, Louis and that other guy weren’t at the door when I left. I was about to open my bedroom door when a hand grabbed me and slammed me into a wall.

Daphne was glaring daggers at me. Her eyes were red, and for the first time, her appearance was a complete mess.

“You’re hurting me,” I protested as I pushed her away with force. Her nails clawed at my skin, but she slammed her back against the wall with a satisfying thud.

“You little bitch! What the fuck did you do? What did you say to Matt?” she barked, her eyes glowing with the color of her wolf. It made it clear that she was furious and losing her grip on her inner wolf.

“Watch yourself, dear sister. You don’t want my wrath, especially now that the lycan alpha has chosen me. I’m officially of a higher rank than you,” I warned, using this vile situation against her. Daphne was shocked, clutching her chest dramatically.

“How dare you threaten me? I’m your sister!” she yelled.

“Blood means nothing to you if you were able to let my boyfriend of four years ride you while you begged him to make you Luna. Yeah, I saw,” I shot back. Her breath shuddered, and her lips trembled, looking taken aback. She opened and closed her mouth, unable to formulate a response. We stared each other down until I sidestepped her, and that’s when she spoke.

“Matt challenged Alpha Kennis to a duel. He did it so he wouldn’t take you.”

I froze, my eyes wide. Why would Matt do that? It was such a huge risk. He wasn’t as strong as Alpha Kennis, no one was!

I refused to feel bad; it was his choice, not mine. “He’s a fool to do that,” I said.

“You have to stop him, Di, please,” her voice took on a pleading tone.

“Why?”

“Because it’s your fault!”

“I didn’t ask him to do that,” I retorted, " I don't care about what Matt does."

I entered my room. She started banging on my door like a crazy woman, crying and begging me to save her chosen mate. Even though I had implied to my sister that I wouldn’t do anything, I couldn’t just stand by. I couldn’t let Matt die because of me. My conscience wouldn't let me.

I increased my pace, leaving Emrys behind. I started to run up the hill. Emrys caught up with me in an instant. “Turn left,” he said, jogging beside me. We jogged to the castle, and I only stopped when I reached the driveway, lungs burning. I was wheezing while he didn’t even break a sweat. “That was a long jog,” I exhaled, bent over with my hands on my knees as I took deep breaths. “It wasn’t that long. You have terrible stamina,” he told me. I knew I needed to work on it. Later that night, Nina forced me to go down for dinner. While we ate, Nina wouldn’t stop talking about how much the pack members adored me. Rumors about my visit to the packhouse had already spread, and it seemed everyone was happy with me.“I think we should host a welcoming party for Diara tomorrow evening,” Nina suggested beside me. I stiffened. A party in my honour? I was never fond of parties. “No, please,” I murmured.“Do it,” Kennis said. I glanced at him for the first time. He was staring intently at

  • The Unwanted Mate   Pack Members

“After the attack, Kennis became inconsolable with grief for the loss of his mate, parents, and all the pack members. We all did. We searched for the cruel hybrid coven to exact revenge, but we couldn’t find them because of their cloaking spells. We were all ready to end it all to reunite with our loved ones on the other side, but Horus appeared out of nowhere. Still wanting to punish Kennis for killing his mate, he wanted Kennis to feel inescapable pain, so he cursed him with immortality. Additionally, he bound our lives to Kennis’ bloodline.”My heart squeezed as I listened to what they had been through. Horus was truly cruel. He wanted Kennis to suffer eternally, all because his woman couldn’t keep her desires in check. Emrys told me they tried to find ways to break the curse, calling on witches, mages, prophets, and many others, but only the creator of the curse could break it. And Horus was nowhere to be seen. It was as if the hybrid coven had ceased to exist.“And the members of

  • The Unwanted Mate   Tour With Emrys

It has been a week since I arrived here, and I haven't seen Alpha Kennis since the night he fucked me like a whore. I kind of miss him. Key word being "kind of." It’s probably his mark that’s stirring these emotions in me.Nina has been extremely kind, checking up on me and bringing me chocolates and ice cream. I’ve forced a smile and engaged with her, but I’ve felt an overwhelming sadness the entire time. The other lycans ignore me, but Sofia gives me a hateful look every time our paths cross. Thankfully, I haven’t run into the Alpha’s mistress, Ella.Nina and I were sitting under the oak tree. She was frustrated and sad because her boyfriend, Casper, had been distant.“Nina, do you know why he’s been distant?” I asked.“Yes, he wants a pup, but I’m unable to give him one,” she murmured. I could hear the shame in his voice. “Why not?”She shrugged her shoulders. “I’ve tried everything, but it hasn’t worked.”“I’m sorry to hear that,” I said.“Hello, ladies! I saw you as I was coming

  • The Unwanted Mate   F*cked

I resigned from fighting and welcomed terror. My breath was shaky. I just knew it would hurt like hell. I wanted to beg him to at least be gentle with me. I wanted to cry, but I didn’t. He gripped my hips and slammed his cock into me. A scream ripped from my throat. It hurt like a bitch. Alpha Kennis’s cock was huge, very huge, and it kept growing inside. I was thankful he waited a few seconds. His hand suddenly stroked my hair, but maybe I just made it up in my head to make myself believe he at least cared. I breathed in and out, and then he rammed deeper. “Oh, fuck!” I cried, realizing he wasn’t entirely in the first time. I clenched my teeth, hoping the pain would soon subside, but it didn’t.“My pleasure,” he grunted as he pumped into me. With each thrust, pain exploded inside me, and I screamed. My body muscles were tense, and Dove kept begging me to release the tension. It will be over soon. Hold on, Diara. Hold on. I thought. Kennis kept going, thrusting in and out. His breat

Both Nina and I turned toward the growl and saw Emyrs walking toward us, his intense blue gaze fixed on Nina. She remained calm, though. “Emyrs,” she greeted. “What are you telling the new Luna?” he gritted, not glancing at me. “Just a few things about the pack. As you said, she’s going to be the new Luna, so she should know some details about our pack, wouldn’t you agree, lovely?” Nina turned to look at me, and I nodded in agreement. “Don’t discuss issues you’re not supposed to,” he warned. Their eyes glazed over, and I realized they were mind-linking. “Casper just pulled into the driveway. Go to him before Oliver jumps him,” he said with a sly look on his face. Nina gasped and squeezed my shoulder. “Casper is my boyfriend! I need to see him, or save him from Oliver. He’s jealous of him,” she beamed before running toward the driveway, squealing. She was a happy lycan. Finally, Emyrs turned his attention to me, his gaze sweeping over me before he spoke. “How has your stay been

  • The Unwanted Mate   The Castle

I slept in the next day, and when I awoke, I took a shower and got dressed. Nina and Esme were in the bedroom when I reentered. “Good morning, lovely,” Nina beamed. After we exchanged pleasantries, they explained the reason for their visit. Alpha Kennis had ordered them to take me to the infirmary for a preconception check-up. The young doctor examined my health and cleared me to start trying. I cringed at those words. When we returned, I decided to familiarize myself with the place. Well, inside the castle. It was especially quiet at that time, and I didn't see any servants around. I couldn't deny that this place was amazing! The white walls, polished marble, and carved oak doors with sweeping staircases leading to the upper floors were stunning. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, and the walls were adorned with exquisite portraits. I paused in front of the portrait of Alpha Kennis. His intense eyes seemed to look right through me. Beside him were a man and a woman, both t
