“how do you feel Alpha? Are you any better?” ivan asked while the doctor changed my bandage.

I snorted, “do you really want to know?”

“I bet I wouldn’t be asking if I didn’t want to know.” he replied with a silly glint in his eyes.

I waited for the doctor to round up and leave before talking. “how else do you expect me to feel after being humiliated by that stupid girl.” I hissed, snatching the whiskey bottle that I had been drinking from before the doctors arrival. I took a gulp and it burned my chest.

“the talk is all over the packhouse. No one seems to understand why she would do such a thing to you.” I can hear the taunt in his voice.

“this isn’t funny.” I said.

Ivan sighed, reaching for the whiskey bottle to pour himself some. “why would you do that? aren’t there better ways to ask for it?”

“why should I ask for something that belongs to me?”

“we are not in the medieval times, she is not your slave and you cannot lay claim on her just because it soothes you.”
