Caspian P.O.V. I dodge the dragon, stepping aside and letting gravity work in my favor so he sails past me and loses his grip on the ground, tumbling down. I just wait patiently until he is up again, hearing spread murmurs of laughter because of his excessive cursing and grumbling as he gets his footing again. Alec P.O.V.The crowd of dragons seems to settle under the decree that they have to wait for a decision regarding our lives until their Queen enters the sacred grounds. Veluri keeps looking at us, and her adviser, if that is a fitting name, keeps trying to distract her. They have gone back to where the other dragons, most of them unshifted, have laid down to observe our moves. I gesture for the others to sit down with me. If we’re waiting on the Queen, we might as well try to put a gameplan together. Maeve on the other hand has another idea, and she shakes her head at me, kissing my cheek before walking slowly and openly towards where Veluri and her adviser are standing. The adviser frowns, and tries to step in front of the Princess, but Veluri is having none of that apparently, as she steps around him and walks towards my mate.
