I stood rooted, bubbling with excitement as Ferrara moved to stand in front of me — his skin pale, yet shiny in the darkness. His face had that animated look as he laughed, the sound filling up my being like a much needed drug I secretly craved. The joyous sound made me feel as though I was levitating, like a bird just learning how to fly. I peered up at him blearily, his large arms secured firmly around my waist.

“You like it a lot, don't you, pet?” he asked, chuckling. “Welcome to Domi Sotto. A small paradise for subs like you.”

I gasped. “Don't tell me you...own this place. How on Earth?”

I'd heard a lot of rumours surrounding Domi Sotto; the renowned, dangerous vampire night club back at the academy. The rumours had broken out amongst shifters shortly after Erin — a slave shifter was murdered in the club after she fainted while her vampire master was pleasuring her. I'd heard of, and experienced my own share of wicked masters, but Erin's had to be the worst. Unfortunately,
