LOGINLestat's Point of View
I watched as Dr. Elizabeth cleaned Rose's wounds. When Rose pulled the IV out of her arm and tried to run it made me worried and angry. I was worried because she was hurt and bleeding. Dr. Elizabeth and I could control our cravings because of our age but a lot of the vampires don't have as much control as we did. They might try to harm her just by the sight of her blood. One thing I noticed was that her blood smelled better than most. It was powerful and that confused me. No human could have blood as powerful as hers. That was something I would need to find out.
I was upset that she wanted to leave. There was no way I could let her leave. I knew why she wanted to leave. She had figured out that I was the one who bought her and her sisters. She feared me and I knew I had no one else to blame for that but myself. One thing I knew was that I wasn't going to let her leave. She was my beloved and I needed her. From the moment I saw her I had fallen in love with her.
It was crazy to me that with one look, I had fallen in love. Before my parents died, they told me about how strong the bond was. I had also heard it from others, but I always thought they were exaggerating the effect of the bond. Now I know they were telling the truth. All I saw now was Rose. All I needed was Rose.
Thinking about all the women I had been with made me feel sick to my stomach. I was a fool. I felt like I betrayed my beloved.
"I was so afraid, Rose. I thought you were going to die," one of Rose's sisters cried as she walked over to Rose and hugged her.
"I am okay, Poppy. Don't cry," Rose said gently as she hugged her back and then she looked at her other sister and gestured for her to come over. The other girl walked over and hugged her. I noticed that all the sisters looked the same. The difference was Rose had green eyes and her sisters had blue eyes.
"What are we going to do? Where are we going to go. We can't go back with dad."
"You will stay here," I said and they looked at me
"What? We can't stay here," The sister that I knew was named Lilly said. She was glaring at me. She was brave. She was lucky she was my beloved sister or she would have been ripped to pieces. I could tell my sister was worried by the way she looked at me. When she realized I was still calm, she looked relieved.
"You don't have a choice," I said. The girl was about to say something else, but Rose spoke first
"Alice, can you take Lilly and Poppy to the waiting room for a moment?" Rose asked
"Sure, let's go, girls," Alice said, and they looked at Rose.
"It's okay. I will be fine," Rose said with a smile. Poppy went with Alice, but Lilly didn't leave at first.
"You better not hurt my sister," Lilly said. It took a lot for me not to smile at how brave that girl was. It shocked me that I didn't lose control and kill that girl, but I knew my beloved would hate me if I did that. I also liked that she was so protective of Rose.
"Go ahead, Lil," Rose said, and after a while of glaring at me, she turned and walked out of the room, leaving me with Rose.
"I meant what I said, you can't leave," I said before she could speak
"Why? Because you bought us? We are not your property. We are human beings. You can't just buy us like that. We are not staying here," Rose said
"Well, obviously, I could because your dad sold you to me," I said, and as soon as the words came out, I felt bad because of the pain in her facial expression.
"I didn't mean for it to come out like that, but what I am saying is true. Your dad owed me money, and he decided to sell you and your sisters to me. Where would you go if you left? If you go back to him, he will sell you again, and the next person might not be as nice as me," I said
"Yeah, because all you did was let someone beat and assault me," Rose replied, making me feel worse. We both stayed silent for a moment.
"I am sorry for what happened to you. I know I am to blame. It will never happen again," I said
"I can see you aren't going to let us go. I will be your slave, but please don't hurt my sisters. I will do anything willingly as long as my sisters are okay."
Lestat's Point of View"King Lestat, I promise we were just tal..." Veronica started to say, but before she could finish I lifted her up by the neck."I know what you were doing? I heard what you said to her," I growled. Veronica was trying to speak, but couldn't because of how hard I was holding her. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't' kill you for disrespecting my Beloved?" I asked. I could tell she was shocked by her facial expression. Many others were shocked as well, but I noticed that my sister's friends were not. That let me know that she must have told them about Rose being my Beloved. "I know what you are trying to do. You think that if you say those things to Rose that you will come between us and that I will end up with you. Well, that is not going to happen," I growled, and then I threw her to the ground. "She is your Beloved?" Veronica whispered. She looked at me, and I could see fear in her eyes. She knew that she had fucked up. "I am so sorry, My King. I had no idea
Lestat's Point of View"King Landon wants to discuss a peace treaty. He said he would come here to discuss it with you," Jacob said. King Landon was the Werewolf King. Werewolves, Dragons, and Vampires didn't get along. There had been so much dealth between the three of us. King Landon had sent me a letter about a year ago saying that it needed to stop and that we all needed to come to an agreement. In a way I knew he was right. We needed to come up with something. The thing was I wasn't sure that I could trust him. I definately didn't trust Lucas the Dragon King. I knew the Dragons were worse than the werewolves. They had set too many of my vampires on fire just because. "I don't think that is a good idea, Sire. There is no telling what he is planning," One of my men said"I honestly think that it would be a good idea to let him come here. I mean, there has been too much dealth for no reaon but hate. He said he would come here so that would mean that he would be on our land. We woul
Rose's Point of View"Careful, Amora Mio. You are already injured enough," Lestat said"I am sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going," I replied."It's alright. I just don't want you to get hurt." Suddenly his phone started going off. He took his cell out of his pocket. "What?" "Okay, I will be there shortly," Lestat said and then he looked at me. "I have somethings I need to take care of. I will be back later,:" Lestat said. "Um, okay," I replied and he left. I went to our room and decided to watch tv. Suddenly, Alice walked into the room. "Hey, Rose.""Hey," I replied"You look bored," Alice said"I am fine. I am going to get ready for bed," I replied"How about we go out tonight. Jacob has to work late with my brother tonight so I am bored too," Alice said"I don't know. I don't usually go out," I replied"Oh, come on. You are still young. You need to have some fun," Alice said"But Lilly and Poppy.""They will be fine. They are old enough to stay home by themselves for a cou
Rose's Point of View"Why did that lady call you Sire?" Lilly asked, causing everyone to look at her. Lestat just stared at her with a blank expression on his face. "Oh, that is just something they call him as a joke. You know my brother owns everything in this town. So they sometimes call him Sire," Alice said"As a joke?" Lil asked"Yes," Alice replied. "That doesn't seem like a joke to me or make sense," Lil replied"Lil," I said, and she looked at me. "That's enough," I said"What? I was just saying"Lil, stop," I said, and she sighed"Fine, whatever," Lil replied. Alice went back to talking, and all I could think about was Lil's question. It was weird that the Lady called him Sire. There were a lot of weird things. Like the fact that he had a lot of people living in his house or castle, as Lilly and Poppy would call it. I noticed how everyone would become quiet when he entered a room and bow their heads respectfully. I knew he basically ran everything in the small town and even
Rose's Point of ViewI had a lot on my mind as I got ready for dinner. I couldn't believe Lestat was taking my sisters and me out to dinner at Gilliana's. I just couldn't understand why he was treating me so well. He bought my sisters and me to be his slaves, but he wasn't treating us that way. I had only been there for a few days but I was falling for him, and that was scary. For some reason, I felt as if he was going to treat me right. I felt he had feelings for me and that he wanted to be with me but I knew I was most likely wrong. There must have been a reason why he was treating me so good. He must have been trying to gain my trust. Maybe he had a plan. He wanted to make me believe that he cared for me so that when he hurt me, it would hurt more.I needed to get a grip. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Lilly and Poppy were what I needed to think about. I needed to make sure they were safe. I looked at myself in the mirror one more time. I was wearing a red dress and my ha
Rose's Point of View"Okay, I think that is it. You will be able to start classes on Wednesday. Is there anything else I can do for you?" Amy, my academic advisor, asked. After I was told I passed the assessment test, Amy came and helped me pick my major and helped me enroll in my classes. I was about to tell her I wanted to study law, but then I thought about what Lestat had said about making sure I chose what I really wanted to do. I honestly didn't know what that was. The main reason I chose law was that I knew I would make a lot of money and be able to take care of my sisters. Since I didn't know what I really wanted to do so I decided to take General Studies classes. I would be able to change my major once I figured out what I really wanted to do. A part of me thought I should have stuck with law because I didn't know what would happen in the future but a bigger part of me felt I didn't need to worry because Lestat would take care of me. I knew I sounded crazy for believing that
