Dante's POV

(At the party)

I was out of my house at lightning speed. All the vampires noticed me leave and were confused about what happened. Athena came outside to meet me as I was getting ready to fly.

"What's wrong Dante?" she asked.

"The party's over," I said before taking up to the sky leaving her on the ground shocked.

I flew almost immediately to the site of the crash where the ambulance services were already trying to get Christopher out of the car.

I landed in an alley and smoothened myself. Willing myself to to act crazy.

I walked out of the alley and towards them.

"Hey sir you cannot be here," a police officer said trying to stop me

"you will do well not to try to hinder me from seeing Christopher" I hypnotized him and he let me through.

I walked to the car where they were still trying to cut the door open to pull him out.

I listened. His heart was still beating but it was getting fainter by the moment.

I didn't have time for this.
