Christopher's POV

That was a close one, she almost found me out. She’s seen me before just once, but somehow she still remembered my face.

It was a good thing I did this disguise, because it would have been embarrassing if she had found me out.

I mean, what would I have told her? We would have had to hypnotize her to get her to keep everything a secret and make the plan still work.

"So, what are you in here for?" I asked, smiling, and she sighed.

"Osteoblastoma. It’s a good thing we caught it pretty early, because it would have been an issue if we hadn’t," she explained, and I nodded.

"Don’t worry, this isn’t my first rodeo. Got these two babies removed a while ago," she gestured to her chest.

"All these must have been so expensive," Dante commented beside me, and she sighed, nodding.

"It is. My son has to pick up the slack with the expenses, and I hate that for him. But I get quite useless when I get sick," she sounded so sad.
