Chapter 18: Immortal

Thaddeus marched out of the dungeon and up into the main palace. Corpses upon corpses of dead Arab soldiers he had been scared into cowardice by. He knew the fight was a lost one and so he made no effort to fight but was it really Sebastian's little wife that did so?

Getting to the throne room, he met Sebastian finishing off an Arab soldier with a stab of his claws.

"Good one, brother, seems you're one of the good blood suckers," he spoke, folding his arms behind him, his fingertips grazing his sword.

Sebastian let go of the dead soldier, his nose picking up a familiar scent, his vision travelled and what he saw made his blood boil. He shut his eyes, calming himself and turned to his brother with a stern face.

"Where's Justus?"

"Somewhere," Thaddeus shrugged, taking slow steps around.

"And my wife?"

Thaddeus smiled, "I should thank you, really, she is a feisty one. Saved the day while I hid like the coward I am in the dungeons."

"Where's she?"

He feigned ignorance, "ran off somewhere
