“This is all a facade and allowing ourselves to get close to each other would only end up hurting the both of us in the end,” Hurai whispered with a sad expression in her eyes but the conviction in her voice was apparent.

“I’ll come over and we’ll talk…” but he was still talking when he heard the distinct sounds of footsteps, not all that surprised to look up and behind Hurai to see Geram walking in with a lazy expression on his face, his sheathed sword in his hand as he walked towards them.

“What are you guys talking about?” Geran asked with a curious look on his face, coming to a stop about a foot away from where Kal and Hurai stood facing each.

Geran didn’t particularly care but seeing that whatever they had been talking about still rattled Kal made him very happy, happy enough to want to find out at all costs what he could be.

He waited for a few seconds in silence, not shocked that Kal had completely ignored his presence, which just made Geran want to piss him off the most.
