Lower Your Voice

It was around midnight. All was silent and even the crickets weren’t chipping as loudly as they would have otherwise liked.

Hurai laid on her bed fast asleep, in a dream world of her own making when she unconsciously stirred at the soft sound of footsteps.

Still, she continued sleeping, completely unaware of whatever was going on around her. She continued to remain in her sleeping position, breathing softly against her pillow when she suddenly felt some sort of friction in her air.

At first, her body instantly ignored it, not deeming it a huge threat to her body, until more pressure could be felt at the nape of her hair, as long and steady fingers ran through the roots of her.

It took less than a second for Hurai to jerk up, the fear she felt evident in her eyes, as her body instantly recognized the trouble she was in.

Her still sleepy eyes popped up in the semi-darkness around her, looking around her with caution.
