Hurt my mate

After going back inside the building, Ariel asked Resa "What are you?"the woman didn't look that surprised as it was quite her fault Ariel was asking this now. She knew she shouldn't have lost her temper but anytime she sees that damned witch, she can't control her anger. Theresa took Ariel to a corner and said to her "Ariel, I know that you know you have some special abilities and those abilities help you figure out whose a normal human or a creature like Mike." Ariel's heart was racing as Resa left her in suspense for a while before continuing "You see, I'm a creature they despise, I'm a creature people run and hide from". looking into Ariel's eyes, she finally decided to drop the bomb "I'm a vampire, Ariel".

Ariel's heart skipped a beat. She had read and watched movies about vampires. They are those blood sucking beasts. That's what Ariel felt about them, but after meeting Resa, Ariel didn't feel amiss with the woman until the moment her eyes changed color. She felt the woman was sweet and somehow reminded her of her mom. Ariel decided inwardly, to put the fact that Resa just told her aside and ask "Okay...but how did you know I have those special abilities?". Resa paused and thought for a while whether or not she should answer the question. "Uhhmm... Ariel, I was a good friend of your mother". It was like the whole world was on pause after Resa just released those words from her mouth.

In a dark carven, Micheal sat at the center of the carven with a gold-haired young man by his side. The man's looks were just so out of this world. He had an angelic aura around him as his body emitted golden sparks around him. "The little human has found a way to protect herself once more. But we are not going to back down, not this time, not ever" Mike said with hate and bloodlust obvious in his voice. But the man next to him had emotions contrast to his, he had determination obvious in his voice as he said inwardly "No matter what you do, I won't let you hurt my mate!". As he said it inwardly, his golden eyes glowed and power oozed from him taking the attention of the others around him. Especially Mike.

"Are you okay?" Mike asked and the young man only smiled and said "I'm perfect Sir". Even his voice was so soft and pleasant to listen to.

Back in the office, Ariel was beyond dumbstruck.

"You knew my mother?" she asked Resa and the woman nodded.

"Your mother and I were pretty close friends. I knew your family since when you were little. That's how I knew about your abilities. My vampiric side sensed something different in you and it was confirmed when I found out that you knew about the existence of witches" Resa said

"Well, how did you know I knew about the existence of witches. Also, for how long were you friends with my mother?" Ariel asked

Sighing, Resa said "Ariel, I know you have a lot of questions in your heart but here's not the perfect place to answer all of them. But I'll answer this now though." she smiled before continuing "I knew about your abilities because I was there. I was there when you first saw Mike for the first time. When you watched him killed his comrades, I was there and your reaction to who he was, was a confirmation of your powers. Soon, you'll understand. Besides, I have been friends with your mother since our youth"

Ariel stared at Resa for a long time before saying "So you've basically watched me grow since I was little?" and Resa nodded. No wonder!!. That explains this, it explains why Resa was so good to her when she came to the company for the first time! The woman already knew her.

"Ariel if you want to know more, you'll have to meet me in this location!" The woman said handing her a paper with an address on it "no 24, Yang residence".

"Come by 9:00pm. But for now, you need to go because your boss is probably looking for you right now". Ariel's mind darted to the man in the office. That sinful beauty. Sebastian. A question suddenly popped in her head and she had to ask

"Before I go, Uhmm....is Sebastian like that witch?". After Ariel asked her question, Resa couldn't lie. She was surprised Ariel asked her this "Ohhh...that's something you have to find out yourself. But I can assure you that Sebastian will and can never hurt you. So don't be afraid of him" Resa said. It like Resa had read her mind because heaven knows how scared she was of that man Sebastian. But she it wasn't even close to how scared she felt whenever she saw Mike. To her, Mike was like a demon that just wanted to tear her into pieces and feed on her remains. But for Sebastian, yes she was scared of him but actually scared of the unknown about him.

After the reassurance from Resa, Ariel took the paper with the address on it and went to her boss' office. After she entered the office, she met Sebastian's cold eyes staring into her soul and fear grip her once again. His golden eyes were just...wow...It bored into her soul, as if looking for her secrets. His intense gaze on her was just too much that Ariel had to say "I'm sorry for earlier".

Sebastian stood up from his chair and walked to where she was standing. He looked at her from head to toe before asking "Are you better now?". Ariel bit on her lip before answering "Yes Sir". Sebastian looked down on her lip before turning his eyes away "Clean your lips" he said. Ariel touched her lips just to find out that she had bit them so hard that it was bleeding. "Clean your lips fast Ariel" he said once again. Hearing Sebastian's deep but sweet voice just made Ariel want to spit blood. Ariel cleaned her lips with her dress and definitely, the dress got stained with blood. Sebastian stared at the spot where the blood had stained on her dress and he inhaled sharply before saying "Excuse me". He walked to the bathroom in the office.

In the bathroom, Sebastian stared at himself in the mirror before smirking "Tempting..." he said before washing his face with water.
