AVA'S POV

While on my way from the palace gate to the main building, I noticed some maids gathered around the entrance of the staff apartment and I decided to inquire about the reason for their gathering.

"What's going on here?" I asked randomly and as soon as they saw me, they bowed respectfully before one of them answered.

"Nothing, my Lady. We were only assigned to renovate an empty room before it is allocated to the occupant."

I knew exactly who's room they were talking about since it was only Renata that had been promoted so unexpectedly but I still decided to ask. "Renata Jose's former room?" I asked and without hesitation, they nodded.

I turned around to leave but then I decided to take a look around where such a lowlife was coming from. I asked for her room and a maid showed me to it.
