DIANA'S POV

I shifted my gaze from everyone in the room and took a quick bite off the piece of steak that was on my girl while thinking of an answer.

"What are you talking about? I don't remember saying that. What could be more important than seeing you after such a long time." I lied. I am becoming even more perfect at lies since I kept telling them one after the other. 

"Oh! You sounded so serious. I must have been mistaken." Aiden replied, still looking quite confused by my denial and so was Nicholas. We had the rest of our small banquet in silence and once we were done and everyone was ready to leave, I called out Aiden and told him I wanted us to spend some time together alone. 

"I was going to suggest that anyway! I still have a lot to catch up with you and I still have a lot of hugs to give." Aiden replied, drawing Nicholas' attention.
