Janet's POV

I saw the way he kept asking me what was wrong. I refused to tell him what it was; I had my eyes somewhere else, and whenever he tried to look at my side, I made sure I looked away from Alpha Berrent.

" I will text you the time," he said.

" I will be there," I assured him.

After he left, he was called upon by the elders of the Pack. I walked to where Alpha Berrent was standing. I did not care who was looking at me or who was trying to know why I was there.

"I do not think you should be here," he said.

That was nonsense, I was going to be seen anywhere around him.

" I do not think I am doing anything wrong, why do you sound that way?" I asked him.

" You are an accomplice in what I wish to do, and we should not be seen together in a public space," he said.

He kept a straight face and acted like he was not concerned about what I was saying.

" This is being sensible" he looked at me, like I was some dumb woman.

    Janet's POV I looked at the one that was close to me and smiled. This was something that I loved to see. They were all over the place. The flowers were looking happy for his death. " I am talking about Kevin's father, your Alpha, he is the one who is going to be killed, I only want you to weaken his guards with your fire, do that and leave as soon as you can, so no one gets to accuse you of being around, watching while they killed your Alpha, I want to take all the credits for that" he said. I smiled, this was risky for me but I found it interesting. " This is about Kevin's father, I will forever be ready to do whatever you want me to do to him" I said. " I like the sound of that," he said. He began to apply the herbs that Lisa had brought on the guards that were there. I watched as he applied the herbs on their body.
