" Abby my Child, I know by the moment you get this letter, I must have long gone. I must be dead by now , I am so sorry I couldn't keep any of the promises I made to you. I know I wasn't the best father, having you watch me in my sickness, for years and depriving you of the wonderful life you were might to have .

I want you to know that I am now with your mother and brother, I have no pains here anymore, and I love you and Sam so much. If only it was possible I would have stayed longer with you but I think this is the best ,my child.
