Have You Been Tamed?

I groaned, waking up from my sleep. The golden canopy greeted me in the dark room, the moon shone brightly outside the window signifying that it was still in the middle of the night. My first expression upon waking up was a huge frown.

Why'd I suddenly think of my past life?

I was in a sleepy daze when I opened my eyes, and somehow my brain just decided to take me on a trip through memory lane. 

What for? 

It'd be easier if I could have gone with this second life without thinking about it, you know.
