I watch Maddie turn and look out over the mini city within her walls. I can see the smirk of pride on her face, telling me she enjoys leading these people as their Alpha.

“My pack is named Blue Meadow, after the blue dahlias that naturally grow here. We have been around for a few hundred years. We currently have just over 4500 pack members with another 217 due within the next six months. We’re having a little bit of a baby boom right now.

“Unfortunately, we can’t seem to break from that total head count though. We may be booming with babies, but we also have a lot of geriatric members. We seem to lose at least one with every birth. I know it’s silly, the life and death cycle is ever present, but my heart weeps with each loss our pack has. Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend like I did. I traveled to visit my hubby who is a medical travel worker. It was so great to see him and we really needed the few days I spent with him to reconnect. To make up for my long absence, I'm posting two Josh chapters tonight. Enjoy!!
