Fareeda yawned as she rolled on the bed. The first thing she realised when she opened her eyes was that she wasn’t in her room. She was naked under the sheets. She never slept without any clothes on. She sat up as she realised everything that happened yesterday. She was now Alexander’s wife. A smile made its way to her face as she remembered what took place at night. She would have never guessed that was what husbands and wives do. He had kissed every single part of her body and she loved it.
A gasp left her lips as Anna walked into the room. Fareeda brought the sheets up all the way to her chin.

The Warrior’s Bride. Fareeda walked out of the room slamming the door so it made a loud sound. She passed the back door and sat outside as she tried to stop her tears. This was the first time Alexander had ever raised his voice. Why was it so hard for him to understand where she was coming from?Once she was done, she met Anna in the kitchen staring at her sadly. The Warrior’s Bride. King Aladdin looked at his son. The Prince. Each day that passed his son was getting better and better. He watched how they trained. He could see the tension between both his sons, but he was glad Alexander was ignoring his spoiled son. They were a few months apart, but Alexander still showed signs of being the older one. King Aladdin was glad when he saw they went on break. He called for Amir. “Father, I didn’t see you there. You have been here everyday. “ Amir said, looking at his father. He had realised overtime that working on the field was not anything like he thought. “Yes. I am here to watch you. I’m very glad you’re doing well. “ King Aladdin said, looking proudly at his son.

The Warrior’s BrideFareeda stared at her father. He was doing well now. He woke up late in the afternoon and he was able to lift himself off the bed. He was even talking to her and he was being his rude self again. Some things could not just change. She had not returned home since Alexander left her here and she was even afraid to do so. She wondered what Anna would think of her now. She was a bad excuse of a wife and she knew it. “Have you finally decided to leave that poor excuse of a husband?” Bakir asked his daughter from where he sat. He was still angry at her. The Warrior’s Bride. Fareeda stared at her mother in law. She had been awake since the seventh hour in the morning, and it was shocked her that her mother in law who always managed to wake up when the day was still dark, slept until it was almost noon. Fareeda was just preparing to visit her husband at the training grounds. She had made his favorite drink and she decided she would take it to him. It was not common for women to visit the training grounds, but she was missing him more than normal today. “Fareeda! You are back! Oh I missed you that night you spent away. Alexander was just too gloomy to be around. Tell me how does your father fair?” Anna said in a rush as she took in her daughter in law. She

The Warrior’s Bride chapter 11The walk home was not long for Fareeda. Her father’s words left her confused. She knew he was only saying that because she ended up with Alexander, but deep down she knew he felt like she was the reason her mother died. Sometimes she thought he was always so harsh towards because of her mother. She knew she should not be giving any excuses for her father being right, but today he sounded unlike himself. He sounded like a sad man, someone who was in mourning. It hurt to hear him that way. She wondered if her father ever loved her. Fareeda pushed those thoughts away from her mind. She wanted her home- she and Alexander’s home- to be her happy place. She didn’t want to have any sad or bothersome thoughts there. She was not entirely exhausted after the day’s work, but she was feeling a bit tired.

The Warrior’s Bride. The village was so busy with the preparations for the wedding. The bride of the King has not yet been announced, but everyone was very happy the King was taking a new wife. The villagers were mainly happy because they would be a lot of free food, drinks and music to be merry and happy. They loved when the royal family threw feasts. Alexander grunted as he walked into the cabin. Today was a Friday. There was no training today because the King had declared it a day for everyone to get ready for the wedding festival tomorrow. He made a trip to the market to get some eggs, but even that was closed. “Where did you go?” Fareeda asked, coming to see who was at the door. She had woken up and he wasn’t beside her.

The Warrior’s Bride“My prince .” Fareeda said, trying as much as possible to hide her fear. “Your prince? “ Prince Amir asked, looking at her. Her fear was very obvious. There was nothing he could do to her. She was already another man’s bride. “When you rejected me was I your prince?” He asked, leaning against a tree in front of her. Fareeda looked up at him, wondering where this was going. She opened her mouth to speak when he stopped her. “Shhh. Maybe you were really his first. You are lucky my father convinced me to leave you to alone or you would be dead. “ He said, his facial expression very serious.
