It was no shock to Fareeda that a carriage was sent to bring them to the palace. Fareeda knew her father-in-law would have been the one to think of this and she knew it irked Alexander, because he didn’t have a smile on his face when the guard came to open the door for them.
“Smile, my love.” Fareeda said, gently caressing his cheek as they sat in the moving carriage.
“What is there to smile about? My father does this knowing I don’t like it.” Alexander said, looking into her eyes. She could see the frustration there.

The Warrior’s Bride. Fareeda woke up with a start. She blinked her eyes as her vision began to clear. She stared at the ceiling for a brief moment, admiring the artwork above her head. The ceiling was also very high for it to be her cabin. Her heart skipped a beat. Where was she? She immediately sat up, looking around. Has she been kidnapped? “Oh Allah!” Fareeda said out loud to herself. She could remember being in Alexander’s arms. “My dear..” Anna said, coming into the room. She walked in with the healer and Fatima in tow. “Mother..” Fareeda said, she was about to get off the bed.

The Warrior’s Bride It had been a week since Fareeda and Alexander began staying in the palace. Fareeda was shocked at the change. Everyone was always offering to do something for her. Once a young lady even asked if she could help her bathe and dress. Fareeda was shocked at that and she rejected the offer. Her mother in law, Queen Anna, was still showing how things work around in the palace and she was keeping her company. It was nice to be with a lot of people. The Warrior’s Bride Fareeda opened her eyes as a moan left her lips. She was alone in a small room that were smelled very unfamiliar. Just then, a maiden brought in a meal for her and she could not control the growl from her belly. She was really hungry. Alexander saw the look of discomfort make it’s way to Fareeda’s face again as he helped her into the carriage. He was beginning to get worried. “My love, are you sure you don’t want to rest today? I can sense your discomfort and I do not want anything happening to you,” Alexander said to her. “No Alexander I am fine. Thank you for caring for me. I love you,” she said sweetly caressing his face. “Let me make sure everyone else is prepared,” he said kissing her hand before he left. Fareeda took a deep breath tightening her arm around her swollen belly. She had only gotten little sleep throughout the night as the pain continued frequently. She shrugged it off as nothing though.
