Lincoln's mind, body and soul instantly went numb as he savored the taste of Ethan's lips.

He shut his eyes in pleasure and then clutched on Ethan's shirt.

The kiss was slow, deliberate and sensual.

Lincoln's hands slowly moved to Ethan's face and then cupped it lovingly. Ethan shoved his tongue down his throat, exploring the inside of his warm mouth.

The approaching footsteps jolted Lincoln back to reality and without a thought, he quickly pulled away and then shoved Ethan away so hard that he staggered backward, lost his balance and then landed on the floor.

“Oh my God! I'm so sorry!” He apologized, breathlessly, “I'm so sorry!”

Then he dashed out of the restroom.

On his way out, he bumped into Mark, Ethan's assistant.

“My apologies.” He mumbled, darting into the hall.

Ana appeared out of nowhere and linked their arms together.

“Hey, where have you been?” She enquired looking up at him, “Your bride and Dad have been searching for you. It's time to cut the cake.”

Ethan got to his feet and clapped off the dust from his clothes.

“What am I doing?” He thought it himself, “I should be looking for a way to stop this marriage not kissing him. But I can't. I feel so conflicted right now. He's… he's… he's so adorable!”

“Mr Burns.” Mark stepped into the restroom, “There you are. They're about to cut the cake.”

“Be right behind you.”

“Yes sir,” Mark turned and left.

Ethan splashed water on his face and stared at his reflection in the mirror, “Ethan, you have to settle this. You can't be doing this to your sister. He's gay, so you have to end this right here.”

He walked out of the restroom.

The cake had already been cut and the hall was full of cheers, applause and celebrations.

“To a whole new beginning!”

“To a whole new beginning!”

“I have something to say!” He announced and all heads turned to him.

Lincoln's heart sank!

He broke out in a cold sweat and terror clutched him so hard that he didn't realize that he wasn't breathing.

He watched in terror as Ethan gracefully walked down the aisle.

Ethan came up to the stage and grabbed the mic.

Lincoln shut his eyes and clenched his fists, “This is it,” He thought, the sound in the hall filtering out, “He will expose me. Everyone will know. The press, friends, family and Dad… Dad might disown me. Or he might do worse.”

He felt a hand on his shoulder and his eyes fluttered open.

Ethan was standing right in front of him, with a smile on his face.

“Please take care of my sister. She's my little princess.”

Wait… what?

What the hell…

He quickly glanced around the hall, expecting to see disgustful and disdainful stares, but all he saw were heartfelt smiles on each of their faces.

“What? He didn't expose me?” He thought in surprise, quickly whipping his head to Ethan.

Ethan caressed his shoulder and then winked at him.

“What the hell is he playing at?” He thought. “He didn't expose me?”

“Y-yes, I will take care of her.” He stammered out a response.

“Good.” Ethan said, “Let the dancing begin!’

Evie pulled him to the dance stage and then they danced.

Almost two hours later, the party was over and everyone was on their way.

“Goodbye.” Evie leaned forward and kissed Lincoln's lips. “See you tomorrow.”

“See you tomorrow.”

“Goodbye, Lincoln!” Hailey squealed.

“Yeah, goodbye.”

As he watched the car drive away, Lincoln stared around the surroundings, expecting to see Ethan lurking around but was relieved when he didn't.

Fifteen minutes later, Rahim was driving him back to their mansion.

“Harry Smith's eldest son, Lincoln Smith gets engaged to Evie Burns, Felix Burns's daughter. Two powerful families get aligned! Is this the beginning of a new era?”

Lincoln sighed as he scrolled through the numerous, akin headlines of his engagement.

“This is what you want Father,” He thought, tossing his phone to the seat, “Hope you're happy now.”

His mind drifted off to Ethan.

“Why didn't he expose me? What is he playing at?” He wondered, “Will he blackmail me? No, his family is as rich as ours. Then what does he want? I shouldn't have gone out yesterday! Of all the guys, it had to be my fiance's brother! Someone, please tell me the whole universe isn't against me!”

“You alright back there, bud?” Rahim's voice broke off his thoughts.

“Huh? Yes.”

“You don't look okay to me.” Rahim replied, “You suddenly turned pale and ran off.” He tightened his grip on the steering wheel, his gaze darting to the rearview mirror, “Did you have a panic attack again?”

Rahim knew of Lincoln's panic attacks but was in the dark about the reasons he had them.

“Yeah, I guess so.” He responded, rolling down the windows.

“I'm so sorry, dude. It's been quite some time since you had them. You okay now?”

“Yeah, I guess I am,” Lincoln replied unenthusiastically, staring out into the moonlit night.

The car plunged into silence and Lincoln had time to collect his thoughts.

His dinged and he picked it up.

His heart skipped a beat and then began to pound as he stared at the message.

“We need to talk.”

Another one dropped.

“Meet me at Amy's Diner tomorrow by ten tomorrow morning. You better show up.”

Lincoln switched off his phone and then gulped.

“What have I gotten myself into?”

Meeting up with him will stir up suspicion in his mind. What do I do?“I think this is the perfect outfit for a date.” Rahim said, bringing out a shirt and pants from the closet, “What do you think?”Lincoln stared at it unenthusiastically, and then shrugged, “Cool.”Rahim regarded him for a while and then hung back the clothes in the closet. He folded his arms, “Is something wrong dude?”Lincoln flinched at the question, “What? No, everything is fine.”“You know we've been best friends for over five years, bro. I know you like I know the back of my mind.” Rahim stated, “Where were you two nights ago? “What happened back there?” Harry demanded angrily, “Why did you run off like that back at the party?”The living room was filled with suppressive tension. By the side was Tessa, and by the door was Rahim, Lincoln stood in front of his father, Harry, with his gaze held to the ground.“I asked you a question, Lincoln!” He barked, “Why did you run off like that? And I noticed that throughout the whole event, you looked like your mind was elsewhere.”Lincoln hesitated, swallowing the lump in his throat, not knowing how to answer the question. He knew his father wasn't asking because he worried about his health, he was asking because he had nearly ruined the engagement party and if he had, his reputation would be smeared… that was all he cared about. If he told him he had a panic attack, would he even believe it? No, would he even care?He glanced over at his mother who immediately came to his rescue.“He um… he had a panic attack.” Tessa stepped in, “He had a panic attack.”Harry frowned

Harry Smith folded his hands into fists, then he leaned closer to his wife, Tessa, “What the fuck is wrong with your son?” He whispered to her, his tone gritty, “You better go get him back here right this instant!”Tessa shuddered, “Yes, I will.”She excused herself, walked down the pathway and then began her search for Lincoln.“Oh my God, Lincoln!” She gasped in horror, covering her mouth with her hands, upon seeing Lincoln in his terrible state. She ran to him and squatted beside him, “Dear, are you okay?” She enquired worriedly but Lincoln was still finding it hard to breathe, “Oh my God!”She pulled Lincoln's head to her bosom and began to pat his back, “It's okay dear. • The Way He Looks At Me    Panic Attack

Immaculately dressed in a suit, Lincoln stood stiffly by the door and greeted guests as they arrived.“Hi, thanks for coming.”His legs were now feeling a bit wobbly and his lips were now acting from the fake smile. His father had forced him to stand here and greet guests… or rather his business partners, and that was what he had been doing for the past hours. The guests seemed to never end and saying he was tired was an understatement.Rahim appeared out of nowhere, “They've arrived.” He announced. “Your family is coming.”As if on cue, Lincoln's parents, alongside Ana, came out of the grand hall and stood in the doorway. Two cars pulled over and then the Burns family stepped out. Ethan Burns slowly opened his eyes, expecting to see his Pudding… the cute dude he had spent the night with, but to his surprise, he wasn't there.“Huh?” He muttered in surprise, sitting up on the bed. He shook his head and stared around the room. There was no sign of a single being. His eyes darted to the floor and when he saw that the guy's clothes weren't there any longer, he instantly realized that the guy had left.He sighed, relaxing back on the bed.He has to admit that he was a bit sad that the guy left without waking him up or at least letting him know his name.He had hoped that they would work something out.Something on the bed stand caught his eyes and he leaned forward and took the two pieces of paper. One was a cheque while the other was an ordinary piece of paper with beautifully written words. He stared at the name on the cheque.“Billie Hayes?” He blurted out to himself, “Is that his name? Billie?”He opened the other paper and began to read “Hi there. By the time y

His mother, Ana, and most especially his father.“I guess… I've… always been?”Another silence.“Mom, please… say something.” Lincoln pleaded, “Anything. Ana, please.”“Get out.”“What?”“I said… get… out!”“Dad!”His father slammed his hand on the table, startling everyone. He sprang to his feet and grabbed a knife.“Honey, hold on!”“Get the fuck out of my house! No son of mine is a fucking faggot!” His father snarled, “I disown you! You're a dis
