The golden glow of the ballroom had dimmed, but the tension in the air lingered like expensive perfume on silk. Jenna stood at the edge of the now-curious crowd, chin raised, her gaze cutting through what remained of the evening's illusion. The two women who had allied with Emely now stood stiffly, like porcelain dolls with cracks beginning to show.

She walked toward them slowly, with no hurry in her step. Chris remained by her side, his expression unreadable, while Gino trailed behind with a tablet in hand, always the quiet executor.

"Ladies," Jenna began her voice a smooth contrast to the steel in her words. "I've given you your moment. Now it's time you give me mine."

The first woman, Claire Vasquez, gulped audibly. The other—Lea Franco—tried to keep her spine straight, but her trembling hands betrayed her.

"I assume you know who your fathers are," Jenna said sweetly, almost mockingly. "Or maybe I should be speaking to them directly?"

  • The Wealthy Divorcee   A Lesson for Emely

The chandelier lights sparkled above like a thousand tiny stars, but Jenna Hidalgo moved through the grand ballroom with the ease of someone who no longer needed to shine—because she radiated. Her outfit, though low-key at first glance, whispered exclusivity. A tailored midnight-blue jumpsuit with a cascading shoulder cape—one-of-a-kind by Maison Valleria, not yet released to the public. Paired with vintage diamond drop earrings and a simple, sleek bun, she was effortless elegance. She took a glass of white wine from a passing waiter and scanned the crowd. No sign of Emely."Boring," she muttered under her breath.Just as she turned to leave, a familiar voice called out."Jenna!"It was Chris, dashing in a gray tux, his trademark grin too eager. He walked over with the same confidence that once almost worked on her-until he realized Jenna was more immune to charm than a queen to poison."Chris," Jenna greeted with a polite smile."You look… wow." He gestured vaguely, eyes scanning her

  • The Wealthy Divorcee   The Higher She Rises

Jenna sipped her espresso in silence, legs crossed on her penthouse balcony while Tiara rested by her feet, lazily swatting a feather toy. The city below was buzzing with morning chaos, but nothing compared to the digital wildfire unraveling online. Rumors. Again. Her phone vibrated for the tenth time in five minutes. Another headline. Another scandal with her name splashed across it. "Jenna Hidalgo Caught Between Three Men? Fans Speculate Affairs with Superstar Kelvin, Tech Mogul Gino, and Secret Lover Cris?" She let out a slow breath, unreadable, yet inwardly amused. The tabloid had even used a photo collage with red arrows pointing at each man. One paparazzi shot showed Kelvin shirtless, coming out of her condo—with Tiara in the background. Classic. She was about to call Kelvin to laugh about it when her phone buzzed with a message from Luke. Luke: Need to talk. It's about the rumor leak throughout the internet. Moments later, Luke arrived, perfectly crisp in a nav

As the door clicked shut behind Rex, Tiara—her silky fur now fluffed and immaculate thanks to her built-in dryer—trotted gracefully into the living room, her tail swishing with curiosity. Her glowing amber eyes blinked up at Jenna before she suddenly turned toward the door. Then, in the clearest voice she’d ever used, she asked:"Mama, was that Papa?"Jenna froze mid-sip of her iced latte. The glass clinked softly against the marble countertop as she set it down, stunned.Kelvin, who had just dropped onto the couch with all the smugness of a man who won a battle he hadn’t even signed up for, turned sharply to face the tiger.“…What did she just say?” he asked, blinking.Tiara tilted her head,

  • The Wealthy Divorcee   You'll Regret Walking Away

The bathroom door creaked open with a hiss of steam, and Kelvin stepped out, lazily drying his tousled hair with a towel. A second one hung low around his waist, revealing a lean torso that looked like it was chiseled in a gym and polished by the paparazzi. He strolled into the living room, his bare feet silent against the polished hardwood floor.“Hey, Jen,” he called out, stretching one arm above his head, “You’re so extra, you know that? Ordering a Hermès scarf for a tiger? A tiger, Jenna.”Jenna was lounging on the couch, one leg crossed over the other, scrolling through her phone. She didn’t even glance up. “Don’t question my parenting choices. Tiara deserves the best.”At that moment, Tiara trotted over in her

  • The Wealthy Divorcee   I Don't Need Your Apology

As Rex and Alice exited the airport, they found Mike waiting by the car. As the car door closed, Alice adjusted her seatbelt and turned to Rex. "I'd like to visit your family, Rex, before heading home."Rex's expression hardened. "No. You should visit the Avila family first, especially with Martin's death anniversary approaching."He felt a wave of repulsion at Alice's request. Had he indulged her too much, allowing her to get so close that Jenna had misunderstood their relationship? The memory of Jenna at the airport, embracing that actor, flashed in his mind, intensifying his irritation.Alice froze at Rex's response, a slight tremor in her heart. She quickly said, "I might cause more distress to the Avila family if I visit now. Perhaps I should go to Martin's grave later instead."Rex remained silent, his gaze fixed ahead. Alice clenched her fist, biting her lower lip. Suddenly, her eyes brightene
