Third POVOn the day of the gala, Prince Calder had woken up early, excited. It was by 1 PM but he was done preparing by 8 AM. Reina didn’t flinch a bit, she moved around in the palace having her normal day like nothing was going to happen. She went in to meet with the queen, her mother, whom the king has always shifted to the background. The queen’s reserved nature wasn’t her true nature anyway, it was from the treatment by the king. Reina wanted to talk about her first public appearance with her, even though she seemed not to have a say as the king wanted, she wanted to hear her opinion. Queen Chloe and her daughter sat at the rooftop of her apartment for morning tea. The queen clasped her hand in front of her.“Why are you here, my love?”“Mom,” Reina grumbled. She’s more free with her mom than her dad, knowing her mom has true love for her while her dad was moved by sentiments and personal gains. “You know I’m going to a gala with Prince Calder to San Lucy. The king is earnest
Reina’s POVMy mind couldn’t stop wondering how Calder would dance this girlish dance when he always acts masculine all the time even now. “You will help her strengthen up, following my steps of this kind of dance.” Calder said to Mia. “Yes, your majesty.” She replied with a bow. “Your highness,” I barked, correcting her. Calder furrowed his eyes, pushing it off quickly the next moment to hide his true nature. He wants to be camouflage, let the game begin. The dancing began, Calder took the lead, spreading his hands and legs so wide as he jumped on the scene like a swan. I nearly clapped, smiling and cheering but then recalled who it was. My enemy. I withheld my reactions. Rather than a smile, I felt disgusted. I didn’t want to be seen as impressed by anything Calder is doing.Mia came closer, guiding me with slaps and touches as well as with pressings on the various body parts that needed guiding to flow with Calder. “What’s the use of this dance?” I grumbled halfway through w
Reina’s POV I sat quietly at the rooftop, glaring down. The sun was just rising and I didn’t have hope of a bright day without my bodyguard by my side. The king assigned me a new bodyguard but I rejected him, he’s nowhere close to Julian, neither in beauty or strength. There was nothing attractive about him. Even when I knew who Julian was, it still didn't stop me from getting attracted to him. I wanted him so much. Till tears began to stream from my eyes, I didn’t know. I only realized as it dropped on my lap. I immediately cleaned it. Then a knock on the door came, I could hear it from where I sat. I sighed, ignoring. It could be the maid or servant, either of them. I wasn’t just ready to be disturbed by anyone. I pretended as though I didn’t hear until it became much more persistent. “Who’s that?” I growled from the inside, rising in anger to go see who was disturbing me. I opened the door to find Riley, the chief royal maid. My eyes ran in a stern way from her head to her

Julian’s POV Even as a child, this was evil. I’d thought the king was always overshadowed with morals and could do no wrong as we were taught in school but hearing this got me totally pissed. I wished at that very moment, I had supernatural powers, I would command thunder to strike him. It was the only revenge I could think of as a little child. “How can I do this, my king?” My dad retorted, asking in a pleading tone. “Xeno is my closest friend.” “Yes, I know. That’s why I’m asking you to betray him.” “I didn’t really get why you asked me to buy all his shares.” Even my dad was confused. The king laughed some kind of a wild, sinister laughter. My blood was boiling in here where I hid. I was still a small child with no wolf lest they would have detected my scent. One advantage I got. “This is why I need you to buy all his shares. Normally, CEOs prohibit the selling of over half their shares to a particular man, they love a regular distribution among shareholders such that no
