A week passed by, I was having a great time working at the bar. It was tiring, sure, yes, but it felt good. It helped me sleep better at night so I considered it a big achievement.

I locked up at night and came out to throw the trash. The sky was clear and the air was fresh. I took a deep breath and started walking home while playing music through my earphones. The streets were emptier than usual. Maybe it was Wednesday! I don’t know.

I started crossing the street when I nearly tripped. My laces were opened. I bent down to tie them and that’s when I felt a little beam of light on myself. It wasn’t long before I heard to vicious honking of the car. My head shot up and I quickly got up to get out of the way from the speeding car.

Bad luck! My laces weren’t tied yet and due to the sudden rush I tripped real bad and fell on the ground roughly. The car screeched and turned away. It didn’t hit me and neither was the car damaged in any way. Stopping a few feet away
